The one undying Hotmail spam is "University Diplomas". I've been getting that one for years. I get that once a week now, but I remember I used to get it a few times a day.

In addition to the breast and penis enlargement spams mentioned above, I've gotten several generations of porn spam. They seem to come in waves. The biggest waves breaking on the shore of my Inbox at the moment are the girl that has sex with her horse, and dogs that perform oral sex.

No, I've never clicked on any of those.

I did have a hotmail account, but I havn't acessed it in months, so it is probably can't be used now. I gave up because I got to much spam. The usual crap about enlarging certain body parts and pictures of celebrities naked.

My email address is now from my ISP and I still get some spam, but not as much. Plus I like Outlook as an email client.

Welcome to the future dear Lady.

But I think there is a way to avoid that still you just have to know which cookies to block and which ones simply are there to allow you to log in. I have mine set up that way but i forget which is which.

They sent me one of those automatic "we got your email" things, but that's it so far.

Note: they are charging now only if one considers a Web service's collection of one's browsing habits for sale to advertisers a charge. I do; many don't, of course.

Maybe session cookies? My IE is updated enough to allow that -- you just go into security settings and choose to accept those, but not any other kind, i.e., commercial ones. Also I have some software that lets me locate cookies of all sorts on my computer (actually the session cookies disappear after the session, so it's just the other kinds that show up) and delete them, if I want (and I usually do). I could have done that today, too --just let them set the cookie and then go in and take it out before I went anywhere -- but was feeling cranky this morning

and anyway it was the principle of the thing....
