Okay, for those of you who've never been to Los Angeles, let me fill you in:
The San Andreas fault runs pretty much right through California and, in one area, right through Los Angeles. Several years ago, a large earthquake hit that opened up the fault (it crashed freeways and stuff). They rebuilt LA in about 6 months. Anyway, the faultline is pretty long, and it's right near the Sierra Nevada mountains. The exacavtion was meant to be several miles outside Los Angeles, where UCLA is located. Perhaps it's 2 or 3 hours away.
Anyway, you guys are doing great! thanks for bringing this back to life!

Hello! I'd like to join you.

Name: Jenna Walker

Age: 19

PoB: Santa Fe, NM

History: Raised by her mother's sister and brother-in-law, who lived in California. While not a "Tolkienite," she has read LotR and tended to fantasize a lot during childhood. Even now she is prone to daydream, but not nearly as often as she once did.

Is there still interest in the Return of the Ring RPG? If so, I think it's time we decide how we are going to destroy the ring. We've let the council go on and on because I think no one has got a clear idea what to do next. So who's still interested?

I am still interested. I agree. I liked the idea of throwing it into the sun. I think that would have actually destroyed it, but that Idea got nixed. I think we have to consider a completely different avenue of destruction.

FREAK RAIN!!!!!!!! O.o

Queen of prolonged unexplained absences and long, loooong car rides.

Well, hullo everyone. As you can see, I don't hang out here muchly anymore. There's a good reason for this. Y'see, I've been hanging out at a different chatboard called Cardboardia. So far, I've been havin' a blast. Not that I don't love the TLA, but the magic of Entmoot is lost on me. So, as soon as TLA ends, so will my existance here, probably.

Who knows though? I might stay. Highly unlikely however. This is a good bye in advance, then. Unless you want to join me and my group of friends at Cardboardia.

Cheers!

Good, I would like to see this RPG end proper as well.

I liked your idea of shooting the Ring into the sun very much, Nariel. It brought a very nice modern day touch to it. And I always wanted to go into space. Isn't there anyway we can still use it, if none of the other players is against it?

But if we have to choose another way of destroying the Ring, how about the fire at the core of the world? Well not technically the very core because that thing is solid but the layer of magna around it. All volcanoes get their fire from there so technically that's the fire in which the Ring was made so there it could also be destroyed.

Our group could then decend into the ground through caves or even abandoned dwarf tunnels to a point where they could access the magna and cast the Ring in. En route they could of course be pursued by the ringwraiths or heck, even encounter a hibernating balrog.

Just an alternative. What do you think?
