After I've seen Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Hero I had to revive this thread since these movies contain some of the most terrific sword-fighting scenes ever.

I loved Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Hero. Not only were the fighting scenes great, but the environments were fantastic.
I liked the fightings in Kill Bill, even though they were extremely bloody. I've never seen such a carnage

Yeah, the blood was a little bit extreme. But it was the beginning that was worst, I'd say (though it didn't get much better).
Oh, and if anyone wondered: yes it is illegal to be below 18 years when watching it here in Norway (without a parent), but those rules don't apply to me.

The fight scenes on Last Samurai were so exact. I have to give credit to whoever choreographed them so excellently.
I Jackie Chan film I particularly liked the choreography of was Legend of Drunken Master. The end fight was great as was the fight using bamboo against the axe gang. Actually, all the fights were done really well. It was hilarious to see Jackie fight while drunk too. Another Jackie Chan mention goes to the end fight scene in Who Am I where he fights the two guys at the top of that building. Best weapon fighting has to go to anything involving Bruce Lee and his nunchaku. Nobody could touch that.

The Last Samurai is the best fighting ever in a movie largely thanks to Hiroyuki Sanada who was incredible...
Kill Bill - Bride vs Oren Ishii (Oren's background story was sick too)... the intentional blood bumps it up a notch. Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon justhas to be up there for its brilliance, everyone loves Li Mu Bai

Inigo´s and Wesley´s fight is really great.
Did anyone see the young Stewart Granger in fighting scenes with a sabre and a dagger? He is very good. I also like the scenes in the Three Musketeers with Michael York on the ice fighting with Christopher Lee as Rochefort. Or at night in the forest when they use that lanterns and in fact can´t see anything. |

Seconds on Inigo and Wesley
Also the two duels in Rob Roy- as a reminder that the ancient .Western art of swordmanship was pretty hot too

Interesting thread. Off the top of my head, I'll throw in a couple on the lighter side:
