In star trek? Ah feck, I can't think of anything... There are some pretty hot women - T'Pol and 7 of 9, but I can't think of any hot males.

Hmmm...I don't find T'Pol hot at all, although it appears that she tries hard to be. Seven I liked. She radiated coolness and confidence. Hoshi is sweet, but her character needs to gain some confidence before she can be truly cool.
No hot males? Kirk while he was still young or Riker before the belly and the beard could cut a dashing figure.
What amazes me is that Marina Sirtis seems to be getting better looking as she ages, unlike most women. She looked better at the end of the show than at the beginning, and she still looks good years after it ended. Need to find out her secret...

The DS9/B5 comparison I've heard of. There are alot of similarities, but I actually liked B5 more. I wish ST could come up to that level, but it ain't happening.

Riker doesn't do anything for me, pre OR post beard/belly. Ergh. Kirk was okay, I guess, but his stilted acting driving me up the wall!

If any of you are interested, there's a new Star Trek movie coming out in November-Nemesis. The trailers make it sound like this will be the last TNG movie ("a generation's final journey . . ."). It looks interesting.

Nemisis sounds stupid. It's all about the Romulans. I thought we got over them.

Next they'll have to start making DS9 movies. Yay!

really?
I love romulans! It's about time. ST got all obsessed with Klingons and Borg lately. Good to see some more attention to them.
Really, Kirk and Riker don't do anything for me either, but I did think they are the most classically "handsome" in the series. Personally, I liked O'Brien and Bashir (my favourite "buddy" pair). Some of the male characters on Enterprise are quite "cute" and likeable, but not my idea of hot. Which is fine. I don't usually think of people as hot. It's not a term I typically use to describe people.

I liked it when DS9 got involved with the Dominion.

Cardassians rule you all. I think they should be the antagonists in the next movie. Bring Gul Ducat and Garrak back. They were hot!

I like Enterprise, but are you talking about the opening theme song? I agree! It is NOT STAR TREK! But I like the show.

I like the old movies too! The whale one has to be one of the best though.

I prefer the first one - with "voyager."

However did I miss this thread? :b

Longtime Trekkie here, prefer TNG, (which I can literally blame for meeting and marrying my DH. ) Spock is my favorite character, however, with Picard close behind.

Katt,
I love Gul Dukat. He is soooo cool. Who would have thought a scary looking, older (for me anyways - I'm a second generation Trekkie, after all) guy with a ton of make-up and silly costume could be so sexy? The man practically oozes charisma and charm, and that's amazing considering he's supposed to be a nasty, scheming despot. He steals every scene he's in and I enjoy watching him. I didn't like what they did with him in the end, making him go crazy like that. He stopped being as cool once he was messing with the Pah-wraiths.
Garak is fun, but not nearly as cool.

I always liked Data, I think I said that in my original post but that was long ago. Even though he is nearly 50 now I think. Alot of women like Picard (not me!), bald head and all.

I have given up watching Enterprise now, I might get some TNG videos to watch.

I think I stated it earlier but I gave up of trek because it got WAY to PC, extremely corny at far to often, and that holier than thou federation attitude was just too damn annoying

(Grumble), at least you guys can see Star Trek. Around here it’s a rare commodity.

There is an old series rerun going on.

TNG, it ended before Riker got a beard.

DS9 and Voyager, yeah, we’ve seen the first season.

Enterprise what?

Ps, who is Janice Rand’s character?

You're NOT missing much. It all went down the gurgler after TNG...

Janice Rand is from the earlier seasons of TOS - she had a silly blonde wig thing going on, and was always giving those sheep eyes to Kirk...

Janice Rand.
