Now that's what I'm saying, people! FRIENDS

Is it too idealistic to say that a guy and a girl can meet and become friends without first weighing mentally whether or not that person would make a good mate?

Love at first sight does not really exist.
I like men who r:
Sensetive,
Caring,
Buy me stuff (!),
Are not at all like Daniel Cleaver from BJD,
More like Mark Darcy (minus the reindeer sweater),
Have things in common with me (Reading or Garfield the Cat, for instance),
etc, etc.

Bulging biceps are (obviously) ok with me, as long as they have the brains to match!!!

I disagree, mon ami. I met my wife on my birthday. When she walked in the door, I was smitten and that was nearly 16 years ago. And overall, I'd have to say I'm alucky guy.

Well, I don't know about the rest of the girls here, but I have a cruel and biting wit that sometimes rears its ugly head and lashes its victims until they are reduced to a quivering mass of jello.

When I asked, "what do you mean", I did NOT mean "Will you please repeat the question," I meant, "Please CLARIFY"

Are you asking whether or not we are sweet of temper and fair to look upon?

still, you have to admit that it doesn't usually happen that way. When someone asked my friend, jon, whether he believed in love at first sight, he said, "I don't know, but I sure believe in 'oh, baby, she's hot' at first sight."

Yes, I thought that what it was too, but by the next day I was hooked for life. 3 months later I proposed and 3 months after that she said yes. Mind you it's not been all rosey all the time but so far so good *crosses fingers*

and sixteen years later...

That's really awesom, Pailan.

I haven't seen Kyote's name on the board since the first page. I wonder if he's aware of all the fuss he's created.

im 19,
generaly i DONT go for the supamodel kinda girls, i prefer "cute" ones, these generaly arnt the 'babes' in class.

I havent had a girlfreind for proper since June last year, so its getting on for 9months now.

The main problem is:
is while being one of the lads, and being 'cool' in that respect (u know with the whole male bonding thing.)
Its difficult to also get a girlfreind.
However... i d have many girl-freinds, who im very close to, and choose to have as freinds to chat to. Now.. these girls are always calling me Sweet, this sounds good,

but when ever i come up to one of the girls who i really fancy (from afar) and try to become freindly with, the Sweet thing doesnt rub off instantly, and i end up either just being Freinds, or they arnt interested at all.

Concluding from this fact.... i am very nervous around girls that i see as prospect girlfreinds.

Part 2
Altough im 19, im generally very young hearted, probably 16/17 ish, i think this might put off ladies in my respective age group, and i think younger girls find me more attractive.

ergh.. ive made no-real-point here, but iwas trying to say really is that not all men are just after sex, etc
Id prefer a girl to hold and just have around. (despite my high 19yo sex drive)

Being just twelve, I don't have much more to add to this conversation . . . except this. DO NOT fall in love with somebody who moves a lot. If you fail to follow this advice, I hope for your sake that whoever you've fallen in love with likes to write. Otherwise you just will get your heart broken, and that hurts a heck of a lot.
Actually, I have a pretty good idea of what I want anyways . . . smart, not too tough-guy-ish, kinda cute. Lives nearby you. (Yes, the person I have a crush on lives a half-hour away from me, and he hates to write emails. How did you know?)
But most boys my age are idiots in the first place . . . no wonder they tell me I'm too young to like the boys. Rather, the boys are too immature to hold a decent conversation . . .

People, in general, are stupid.
Generalizations, in general, are false.
However it still holds true that people, in general, are stupid.
have I mentioned that people in general are stupid?

Tolkien fans, in general, don't fall in the same category as people, in general.
