I'm thinking, Dwarven Sen, that you might have an electronic chip inside your school ID. If the computer has a proximity sensor, it can probably log you in automatically when you're close enough.

In Hong Kong, at least; they have similar ID cards for the phone system. When you buy the card, you can keep it in your wallet. If someone tries to call you, the phone closest to you (and the card) rings. It's like having a phone number following you around.

I downloaded Firefox 1.5 today, replacing Firebird 0.7 as my browser. I imported my old favourites, and I was set to go. Except... I can no longer use Alt codes. Alt codes are, for example, alt+ 0229 giving you an "a" with a circle above it.

Does Firefox not support alt codes? Firebird supported alt codes and I'm sure Firefox is more advanced (it loads webpages like lightning, for one thing).

Edit: This problem only occurs in Entmoot. I don't have this problem in another php based forum I visit.
