IT'S A SURPRISE
Fangorn, yesterday

After much deliberation, President Hector has decided to reinstate the draft!
Apperantly almost nobody is volunteering to fight alonside Gen. The Last Sane Person on the battlefront, fearing that they might be stabbed in the back.
This butt-kicking General now sports an eyepatch that makes her look uncannily like a pirate.
The draft will take effect tomorrow morning. President Hector says he will send all draftees to the front lines where they can be shot by orc arrows, eaten by Wargs, or accidentally squashed by caravans. More on this as it develops into full-scale war...

MORDOR SAYS IT WANTS PEACE
The Ambassador from Mordor said recently that despite hogwash and badmouthing from other nations like Gondor, that they would like peace just as much as anyone else.
Last year Mordor's president was quoted as saying that he wanted to "wipe Mirkwood off the map."

HOBBIT INTEL: DWARVES ARE DEVELOPING NUCLEAR WARHEADS

Hobbit intel sources have provided this news service with the news that the Dwarves of the North may be developing nuclear warheads.
Director of the Hobbit Intelligence Bureau Frederick Freckles says that the dwarves have been at this since the beginning of time, but "they're really at it now!"

TWO BOYS SPOT SARUMAN'S GHOST
In news closer to home, to Entmooter teens said they spotted the ghost of Saruman lurking on the edge of the forest. "He was holding an axe!" said one of them. Their parents informed this news service that they had just watched ten horror movies in a row, and not to take them seriously.
This news service couldn't figure out if the parents were talking about themselves or their kids, because they were both drunk.

I beg your pardon! They neednt have any fears of being stabbed in the back, I always fight in the frontlines, thank you very much. Now, if they fear their comrades for such a reason...well, that is a different matter. But I will try to limit that as well.

Hmm, I suppose, but an army that fears it's leaders often turns on them...

Anyways, I'm taking a break, Mirkwood has signed a ceasefire for now, so, tea and bandages for my fighting men and women.

Yeesh, creepy people...

And as for Mirkwood... I'M fighting them. They seem to have a dislike for me and my Merry Men, whom provide protection to the TeaCup from health inspectors and the like. They also seem to have a dislike for the Teacup, seems that they view it as just another infringing human establishment. I bet I could see the dislike in their eyes if they didn't have their noses turned up so high in the air. They are practically looking up at clouds, its no wonder they occasionally walk into tree trunks.

Daft Elves keep capturing and locking me and my men up! And it's a ruddy big waste of booze, since every time we escape we have to get that alcoholic elf guard sloshed. These fellows can drink! So, in light of Mirkwood being so stuck up, I'm teaching them some manners and appreciation for my men and the TeaCup.

Oh, and about Hobbit Intel, I do believe they are playing both sides of the field, after all, they are a private company, and their owners/founders do have a history of strong ties with Mirkwood.

I think that it would be better for the troops, if not publicity, if we went with the private company "EyeSpy Tech". And so far, we have yet to find any connections to mordor through our inquiries yet. So publicly speaking, we are still fine.
