My grandpa was in the Navy in World War II and had a special assignment in the "green paint" division. He and his platoon (or whatever you call it) would spread green paint on top of the ocean where they suspected enemy submarines were. The submarines would rise to the surface and the paint would cover their periscopes, so they thought they were still underwater. They would rise straight up into the air, and then my grandpa and his friends would just shoot them down with anti-aircraft weapons.
My dad always tells people this story with a very straight face (how I envy his ability to keep one!) and very seriously, as if he's about to tell them how my grandpa died or something. Sometimes they actually believe him... |

Hmm, if I were to join the navy, I would choose that divison. Better yet, engineer a biodegradeable paint and then join.

Well, I read on the internet that they found the remains of a Balrog on some mountain in the Swiss Alps. Must be true.
Anduril - a tree octopus? How neat! Show me a pic!!!!

I would love to see a tree octopus, but sadly they don't like to come out when people are around. However, I have seen some awesome footage of octopi crawling across small distances on land, in a video I watched in highschool marine biology. Very cool animals. |

At least they have done their homework on Belgium. Does this mean I have to continue with being a "sad, deluded victim of a vast conspiracy"?

Earniel, are you from Flanders or Wallonia? Do you speak Flemish or French? I speak Dutch (lived in the Netherlands for a year) but wish I could speak French. Of course, if Belgium doesn't really exist, feel free to disregard my questions as sad and deluded.
