Perhaps an "IMO" to that might soften the blow. Many in the UK and USA enjoyed his comedy for years and still do on reruns. It was never stated that he was a great actor.

sorry, IMO,

although UK viewing figures also show this, after the first couple of series, enthusiasm fizzled out, and re-runs on granada plus are not highl;y viewed, whereas compared to the great python, which gets sustained high viewing figures
