They are tilted to Evil, especially because Evil gets Mordor, only attackable through two territories-both of which are strongholds!
However, I guess Team RISK might balance that because then Evil must find the Ring to win.

Another thing I'm noticing... long borders! Original RISK sort of 'funnels' you into and out of each continent (except Asia - hence the difficulty in holding it). Not so with the LOTR version. And there are not such simple, direct paths for moving a massed army efficiently through all the ME territories (either that or I don't see them yet).

Yes - and Evil starts with 7 of the 11 strongholds.

I have to finish reading the rules to see the implications of Team RISK.

I really like the rulebook, if you know how to play regular Risk, you don't read the part that's not highlighted. I thought that was cool. And it should be easier to play evil, it's easier to be evil in real life than it is to be good.
