Khamûl at least knew for it was his idea to check the Gladden for the Shire as he knew hobbits once lived there.

My question is, even without the ring sauron created an army so huge and powerful it almost crushed Gondor, if it had defeated Gondor it would have gained more power and then could have lead a devistating assault on the remaining elves on ME. Why then wouldn't Sauron just wait a little while longer and build a bigger army. With Corsairs, Haradrim, Orcs, Trolls, Uruks, Wargs, and other evil creatures on his massive army he could simply overwhelm the world with an army and them seize the ring at his leisure.

With the Ring Sauron himself had more power. It's like saying, why have one of something when you can have two.

Yet didn't the Witchking of Angmar come from... Angmar!? Just north of Eriador, and just above the area where the Galadden Fields were. Khamul came from the Harad region, very far from that area. So if he(if it is said) knew to search there, I think WK, would have a good idea that that would be a good place to look.

![]() This may be the end of this tread but...
The One ring when on sorons finger it makes his armys undefeatable. It was his own pride that made him go to that battlefeald. (But if he did't come Middle-Earth would be a bad place and there wold not be a story)

The One Ring did not make Sauron's armies undefeatable. He was beaten several times, most notably by the Numenoreans who captured him (and his Ring) to their sorrow, and by the Last Alliance of Elves and Men. The Ring's power was more specialised. It was mainly to oversee and command the Bearers of the Three Elven Rings, and the other Rings of Power. You are letting yourself be too influenced by the movie's Prologue.

maybe the ring was just a symbol of power that Sauron made to show everybody that he was better then them, and foolishly, bound himself to it, also remember that the ring controlled the other rings, so Sauron could control the other ring bearers.

I think the Ring was more than just a symbol of power. It was power, to those strong enough to control and weil it. I think Sauron made it the show himself better than everyone else, in the way of gaining strength enough to rule them

Sauron had a hand in the making of the rings of power (except the elvish ring which Celbrimbor forged himself), however to control the the bearers of these rings he needed to create a master ring (a ring to rule them all). In order to do this he needed to pass some of his own power into the one ring, and in doing so tied his fate to the ring. Unfortunatly for him he was only able to rule the men who had the rings. But can you imagine a corrupted Elf as one of the Nazgul - and you thought the witch king was a pest.
