If Communism was a GOOD idea, it would have worked. It is actually a very BAD idea and cannot work.

It is more than an ends, it is a revolutionary means that justifies itself by its unachievable goals.

And whenever the Ends are used to justify the Means, watch your back!

Communism is at heart an economic system.

It sounds great in theory, but IT'S NOT.

Here's why.

To enforce it, there must be a totalitarian governmental system. Nothing else can hold the people in line with it.

Secondly, Marx said, "Religion is an opiate for the people", and suddenly, Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Mormonism, and practically every other religion or system of faith on the planet is at odds with Communism.

Explain to me how if, in theory, a communist state will oppress and persecute every significant belief system, it won't be considered "evil".

Christianity througout history has oppressed and persecuted other beliefs, to the point of burning its opponents.

So, according to you, Christianity is evil.

That still doesn't answer the question, though.

Perhaps that's why you're overlooking what I've said.

The intent of communism was to overthrow the ruling class and everything that it stood for; to abolish the gap between classes. That may be bold, impossible, extreme, but it is hardly evil. You make it sound like it was ordained from hell.
