Hehe. Even though most think that toys at fast food places are an abomination (well that is what I am assuming....), will anyone here still try to collect them? Or at least get some of them?

*shrugs* I might buy one, if only for material to use when I want something to complain about.

I might get them, but then again I might not. I wonder if they'll do toys for each of the movies, or just give them all out at once.

For each movie I guess, more money to be made. Thats what its all about. They don't care about Wings or anysuch things.

webwizard, they're doing it for each movie. Or if the first does well they're doing the others as well.

Re: Happy Meal Frodo-hobbit with Glow-in-the-Dark Sting?
I can't say that I'm shocked by all of this. After all, fast food toys are a simple fact of life for a sure hit movie and with so many LOTR fans willing show up in theaters just to be sure that the story isn't to badly butchered how could the movie be anything but a hit.

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING POST MAY BE DEEMED SOMEWHAT DISTASTEFUL BY SOME. DO NOT READ FURTHER IF YOU MIGHT BE ONE OF THEM.
Yes, Balrogs with detachable wings, Saruman with detachable palantir, Frodo with detachable finger, Liv Tyler with detachable... eh... dress? What? Based on the movie! the movie! c'mon... Sorry, it was too funny in my head, I just had to post it. |

Re: Happy Meal Frodo-hobbit with Glow-in-the-Dark Sting?
 I'd buy them...
Anyways, I thought it was only gonna be McD that had the figures in the Happy Meals? I don't want Happy Meals, Sad, Depressing Meals would be more up my lane, but I might have to buy some just to get the bloody figures... They should sell them without a "Happy" Meal, for half the price or something... I'm almost willing to pay full price for it, as long as I don't have to get the "Happy" Meal... Hmm... buy a couple, throw away the food, take the figures, go home and play with them? |

That's what I'll have to do.... think of that, I didn't set foot in a McD for something like 5 years now.

Re: Happy Meal Frodo-hobbit with Glow-in-the-Dark Sting?
Happy Meal toys are too breakable, but you know what's gonna be worse? The COMMERCIALS eesshh, you know those really tacky coms where this guy with this really deep voice comes on the television while these little boys are playing with these cars that turn into these power heroes and then they say something that make your eyebrows go passed your hair line?
Yeah imagine THOSE.This little toy Aragorn on Weathertop with this flaming brand(plasitc of course) then there's this Nazgul. You push a little button on Aragorns back he throws the firebrand and then you push another little button on the Nazguls back and FWOOOM he bursts into flame. Now THAT is enought to give me nightmares Brrrr.Or what if they come out with Arwen Barbies?Oh my goodness I think my Bunny slippers just ran for cover. Oh yeah... Most of us have been having nightmares of this for months...
But hey... LOTR toys! Even if they're cheap... I wish I had some when I was kid.... And LOTR legos would be soooooooooooooo cool! |

Lego would be awsome, I know that I would get a few sets . Let's make a list of possible sets...:The Shire (or just Frodo's home), maybe the Prancing Pony, The Last Homely House/Rivendell, the Mines of Moria, Orthanc, Minas Tirith, Barad-Dür, Mount Doom, and a big maybe Rohan. Did I miss anything?

We could perhaps get Edoras, and maybe Mundburg, but all of Edoras... well...
Lothlorien would be a possibility... |

Um, I was building LOTR sets in Legos when I was ten despite the lack of kits. I'm creative
