Actually, Fro had his kit on after the barrow-downs.

It was only his friends who had been re-clothed, unless I am very much mistaken.

Sigh. As shy and modest as he is princely.

Golly. I had no idea there were such deep Tolkien websites. Cool! I need to surf more often.

"He does have nice eyes"

I hadn't noticed, but appearently even gandalf thought so. He described frodo as 'fairer than most with a cleft on his chin and bright eyes' Or something like that. It was in the chapter 'the stilted pony'

'but he's kinda young and skinny. Frodo was supposed to be fifty years old when he set out on the quest. I expected him to look a little more ... mature. '

Frodo was fifty, but he didn't look a day over thirty-three. effect of the ring. So eligah wood looks about right, although I'll agree with you hat he's a bit skinny. After all, frodo called himself flabby when starting out on his journey.

Strider How often do I have to say I'm a girl?

But wayfarer maybe you have'nt realized that Frodo would lose weight as he walked on so by the time Bucklebury ferry came up, ELIJAH Wood'd be a perfect Frodo, which he is. Those blue eyes and that smile ooooooooo, but then he has got Frodos attitude and characteritics. He is in other words perfect for the role.

No offense taken. Considering lots of girls these days are trying to be mirror images of Britney Spears(and no I dont mean the singing) I'd rather be a guy, but considering I'm a girl I just have to content myself with being who I am and try to live in both worlds. Be a tomboy but have the full advantage of wearing makeup, wearing dresses, and posting my opinions of Elijah Wood with fellow fans
I remain the respectfull tomboy

Miriel, the reason Frodo doesn't look "more...mature" is because he's had the ring since he was 33.

To elborate on Reverie's post, Frodo recieved the ring on his 33rd birthday, the Hobbit's coming of age. Now the hobbit age of 33 is about the of human age 18. The bearer of the ring does not age, nor does he die of old age either, he becomes frozen in time so to speak. So that means that Frodo doesn't look a day over 33.

Considering this, shouldn't Ian Holm look a lot younger?

No. He hadn't had the Ring for a while, so his age was catching up to him. His favorite activities in Rivendell were eating (of course) and rhyming/dreaming by the fire. In other words, he was quite old.

Sam, I completely understand. I get a kick out of the fact that I can wear (almost) anything guys can, then I can change to a dress and make-up.

I would'nt call myself a fan, since the only movie of his that I've seen is Flipper . However I looked him up on the official movie site, becouse I wanted to see who was playing whom. He's kinda cute.

Miriel, you should watch "The Ice Storm". He plays a chap with some sterling Frodonian qualities in that. Otherworldly, honourable, decent and vulnerable.

In "The Faculty" he plays someone very courageous who is sometimes wrongly supposed to be a weakling.

So playing Frodo is kind of his birthright, in a way ...

I want to see The Faculty, but it's rated R and I have to wait for 4 more years before I can watch it
Anyway he does'nt NEED to play someone who's humble or anything to prove he'd be a good Frodo, from what I've read he's Frodo all the way.

*raises goblet* Here! Here! to jeans and a t-shirt!

Personaly I never thought Elijah atractive at all, I guess I go for a more masculine looking guy. Now Viggo Mortisen(sp?) on the other hand ...

And don't forget the doo-rag, for those days when you just don't feel like fixing your hair!

Viggo is a babe to be sure and looks great as Strider, but I am not sure I will like him much as Aragorn. I like my men scruffy!

Frodo is just plain cute....like a puppy.
