Oof *crumples like an autumn leaf*

I dunno, the whole concept of comic books just seems like glorified picture books to me, but I suppose I shall.

Actually, she pulls off the look pretty well. Anyway, the point of the segment is not for her to look pretty, but to be degraded.

Well it pissed her right after she was released. But it did give her quite a good 'guise. She told V one of her co workers looked her in the eye and didn't reconize her. I have to say, Evey changed quite a lot during the movie.

Alan Moore roxxors - read V for Vendetta, oh, and Watchmen. They're both change-your-life kinda books. Like Dune. Have you read Dune?
I have. It didn't exactly change my life, though I did get this strange urge for melange (a Norwegian butter-brand, if you wondered ), but it was a terrific book. Like the Sandman-series. Have you read the Sandman-series?

I saw it. I thought it was a really, really good movie. I mean, there are not many that I would say this about, but I thought a movie of actual high quality, and artistically beautiful. Great movie, over all, though it had its down sides. I hear its v. close to the comic book, but being not a great comic book reader, I haven't read it...I hope to do so, though. I hear Watchmen is really good also, BoP.
Agreed. Lots of great and moving scenes, especially loved the last one. But there where a few cheesy parts and lines that didn't work very well...

Now, have you read Sandman? Should you read Sandman? Aw, since you insist: yep, you should. If you ever wondered why (at least a few) graphic novels are considered art, Neil Gaiman's the man for you.

I've read the first one, gotta start on the next. You're right, from what I've read so far, the Sandman series is awesome, but I'm biased cos I'll read anything neil gaiman related. ::sheepish::
Did you read Watchmen? It's better than V (which he wrote at the beginning of his career IIRC).

<edit> ooohhhhh, you were talking about Dune. How can you say that it didn't change your life?!!?

Haven't read it yet, sadly. Been recommended it quite a few times, but my economy is currently generosity-based...my parents' generosity. :/ The money I do get all have this strange vanishing-complex.

Hey! Those were my late-night pants!

In my defence, I'd already read ASoIaF when I started Dune.

I loved V for Vendetta! The trailer was stupid but I'm really glad I saw it.

Finch was my favourite character. He was so complex and brave! I also liked Gordon, his uncensored script was the best ever.

I love Natalie Portmann, she's one of my favourite actresses and she was brilliant in this movie.

I'm intrigued by Alan Moore's graphic novel upon which this movie was based. Apparently Moore didn't want the film to be made.

I bought it on tuesday I think. Almost finished. It's a very good book, though I think maybe I like the movie better, because that was how I came upon the story. But I will read the book again, maybe it'll change.

Sounds like the movie must be pretty good then.
Read Watchmen as well - it's the best piece of work that Alan Moore crafted, IMO.

That was one of my favorite parts. It had me laughing sooo hard. Luckly me and my dad were the only two at that showing. (Monday afternoons are the best time to see a movie, Imo )

Do not forget about the sand. (tons and tons of sand )

and the spice. Without the spice, life would be bland.

I think Cpt. Picard is in the book as well.

V seemed like a dumb movie from the trailers. I may have to read the book when I get a chance.

From other peoples opinions it seems that you can not judge a movie by its trailer.
