I agree! The moment I opened the Sil I fell in love with it. Then I went out and bought UT. I'm looking into getting the HoME books as well. I'm sure I'll also love them.

Actually, I didn't like Narn I Hin hurin at all. Big parts of it were very boring. But in UT there are some good parts. I liked the part about the Istari and the Palantiri.

I haven't read BoLT, because it hasn't translated to hebrew yet.

Narn I Hin Hurin story is really, really sad. Sarch nia Hin Hurin.

I also liked the History of Galadriel and Celeborn. It really explained a lot that the Sil leaves out.

Well, I finished The Voyage of Earendil last night. What a beautiful tale! It really made me wish I could hear The Lay of Earendil sung in elvish.

I read somewhere that Tolkien was always getting requests from different people for music to this song or that, as well as other maps and histories etc. that he never intended to get into. But people wrote him requests like this all of the time.
