I would love to have a female president.

Just so long as it's not Hilary . The woman's a crack-pot and doesn't seem to be interested in very much besides getting herself some power.

Oh, change for the sake of change. That's good. Hilary or Martha? The former is a self-aggrandizing latent Marxist and the latter a convicted felon.

Hmm, almost as good a choice as say Slick Willie or Al Gore!

What do people have against Hilary Clinton? Genuine question; what's the reason for the vitriol?

I have nothing against her, except for the fact that she's too conservative for my taste. And no, I'm not being sarcastic, I'm absolutely serious. There isn't a single viable Democrat in my opinion, since the Dems have swung so far to the right they have simply become Republican Lite, imo.

you have a point hasty... which is why i tend to go democratic... economically both parties are very similar when it comes to legislation that is actually enacted (though republicans have taken the spending crown these days)

they only real differences is socially, and i prefer the live and let live attitude of democrats over legislated morality

Talk about a 'spinmeister'. Government regulators, programs and entitlements are Dem's babies. Government from cradle to grave!

Hello, not seen you around for a while. Welcome back.

And welcome to the 21st century. Let the rich fiddle while Rome burns! Keep the government out of your medicine cabinet! Should we have more tax cuts or even more tax cuts?

When Maggie Thatcher was asked what was her greatest contribution to British politics, her reply was "New Labour" (i.e. Labour abandoned socialism and reinvented itself as a rightwing party indistinguishable from her Conservatives)

So, too right-wing then? Any other suggestions?

not really... both sides spend enormous amounts on regulation, entitlements, welfare, etc... the only difference tends to be whether they are targetted at the poor or at corporations

look at the spending figures for the bush admin, you can even leave out defense entirely and the numbers are staggering

bowing out

Forget I even attempted to put my "politics 101" into this forum. FDR's village is her dream...LBJ enlarged governmental controls and the Dems want that more than anything. Nuf said.

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha

Democrats don't know what the direction "dextro-" is. They are so far to the "sinistra-" that they can not orient themselves in any other direction.
