Ha! Well, that is understandable, Lotesse person. No large deal. I hesitated before making this thread and sticking all of that here at once, but I figured that I might as well, since I was directed here and saw little to dissuade me.
I have a healthy amount of self-confidence as well as evil self-centeredness, sure, but the achingly unique bit was merely a bit of colorful language. As a matter of course, though, tastes inevitably differ. I can offer a shrug of the shoulders as well as an, "oh well." Also, no efforts were made to convince anyone that I hold any knowledge of the production of cognac, rosewater or otherwise. Within a fact, I pointed out that the stuff was written a while ago, and that I enjoy looking back on past mistakes. But oh well. I am happy to have satisfied your thirst for admonishments for a bumbling new guy, at least.

Okay, I'm not moderator here, but just as one writer speaking to others, you two are WAY over the line.
I don't care of you're teasing or not--your comments have been extremely rude, and completely uncalled for. Last edited by Tessar : 08-15-2007 at 12:39 PM. |

YayGollum, you know I feel really, really, really bad for how appallingly bitchy I was to you here last night, regarding your writing. I seriously apologise, that was definitely not cool of me to be such a bitch. I mean, I felt so bad that I went back and read the first part of your first story, and it was cute, with the Beornings, I mean I can't finish all your stories because, I mean, I can't get into it at all and fanfic isn't my favourite thing to read, BUT I liked your beornings. And I apologise, and I hope you know I'm really not a mean girl, I just had an "off" night last night I gues...

My, my, such tension in this thread...
Yaygollum, this is indeed the forum where members can post their writings, you've posted a lot in one thread, but it is not a problem. Lotesse, I don't know how often you visit the Writer's Workshop but feedback on writings is far from rare. There are many stories here that have received feedback and there are several members who actively read and critique other people's writings. Although you have a point that too lenghty texts can discourage prospective readers, but that's up to the writer to see what he wants to put up here.

I believe you mean 'sincere' or something like that, as undue does have the meaning of 'unwarranted'.

No large deal, yo. The chidings as well as amends handed were unexpected as well as gratefully accepted. But then, mayhaps it was merely a couple of slow days.
Towards any who, understandably, were annoyed by the amount tossed in here all at once ---> There's that first person account by the Beorning character, sure, which was my first. After that and starting on Post Five, there are a bunch of bite-sized little things that are first person accounts by pieces of the Beorning's armour. On Post Eight, The Warg And His Orc starts. It's after the last bit of armour stories. I probably should have separated the two sections, at least. oh well. Mayhaps I shall edit my first post to stick this little guide in there? Helpfulness?
