While we're on the subject of justice and insane laws then, don't forget that they exist everywhere.
Here in the US the new (maximum) penalities for computer intrusion (simple hacking) have been pushed up to life. Yes, that's life in prison. In Greece you can be locked up for playing video games. Islam has no monopoly on unjust laws. Having said that, I think the old statement about "he who has no sin cast the frst stone" should apply. That's the problem with a theocracy. The people in charge inevitably fall into hypocrisy, because in order to justify themselves as worthy of power, they must lie about themsleves.
