fanfiction.net is both evil and addictive. I started surfing it when the HP section was still just two pages...

Last time I checked, HP had 350 thousand stories. LotR was next with 40 thousand. Silmarillion only had just over 2 thousand ...

I know, and 99% of those are bad stories... just the summaries of some of them can give you nightmares.
But it isn't such a huge problem in the Silm section. There are upsides to the thing being deadly dull in places.
