If Rivendell is only a century old, then it's probably still floating.

I was kind of thinking that myself.
We need a CelebrÃ*an, and then I think we can get rolling.

I intend to do that - as I've already created him and played him elsewhere.
He would be my excuse to tell Varna's history, as he is her father ... (and he's kin to Elrond as well, besides being a long-time friend). I'll do that |

I'd like to join. But since I have to watch I don't get caught up in too many RPG's I think I'll beter content myself with a minor character. A B-Elf or something.

It's all good. It should be interesting to work out the dynamic between Elrond and Glorfindel, as they don't (that I can remember - it's been a while since I've read LotR - I'm re-reading but I'm not to that part yet. ) really interact in the book.

You're right, they don't, which is funny because they're generally assumed to be really close in fandom. Would you like us to post the bios here or would you prefer us to send them to you to be compiled?

Either way you like. They'll all go in the first post eventually.
Should we make them friends, I suppose?

Sounds good to me! Although if this is the same Glorfindel that was in Gondolin, he's quite significantly older than Elrond.

Not really. The estimations I've given for his re-birth make the body he's in several centuries younger than Elrond and since he was returned to innocence at re-birth... his memories are older, but they're probably about equivalent in maturity.

I think Elrond is mature for his years, anyway. The kind of life he's had can certainly make you that way - losing his parents in his early youth, etc. etc. He hardly remembers his father - the only father he remembers is Maglor. And he's not quite sure what to think about the Sons of Fëanor, when it comes down to it.

Posted this earlier in the wrong thread But this was supposed to go here:
I might be interested in a small role that comes in later. When I have more time. And when I have finished my re-read Preferably a human role

Hmm, the timeline is problematic for me. I had originally thought of making it around S.A. 1800, but I think we need to bump it forward to around S.A. 3320. Does anyone have any trouble with this?

Wanting to jump straight to the actiony bits, hmm? No problem, but I think you mean 3319 rather than 3320.

Actually, no, I'm not that much into actiony bits myself, but if it's 1800 then we have about 1500+ years of no actiony stuff.
I wouldn't mind RPing 1500 years of growing fears and just-off-the-radar danger, but I'm not sure other people would.

I wouldn't mind it either, but it would take a very long time... Anyway, I edited my mention of how long Glor's been back in ME to read 2 millenia rather than 2 centuries, which lands us in the right place.
