I saw that in Hebrew School. It was nowhere near what the Holocaust was like, but sad nonetheless

Thinking of the Holocaust, I came to think of another sad film. It's a Swedish film about the diplomat Raoul Wallenberg who saved the lives of more than hundred thousands of Jews.

By the way, have you seen Schindler's List? If so, do you think it describes the Holocaust in a satisfactory way? I mean, is it 'nearer' the Holocaust than "La vita é bella"?

I saw the movie, but I can't tell you if it describes the Holocaust good enough.
but I can say that you realize how many people had to die without a reason

I cried at the end of Life is Beautiful. I haven't seen very many sad movies cuz i dn't like them I'll cry so hard then the rest of my week will be depressing. The sadest movie I've seen was A Beautiful Mind.

Now I remember, thanks. That was very touching, indeed. But not the sadest thing I ever saw. But opinions are different, I guess.

Saving Private Ryan or Shaving Ryan's Privates? (Your movie seems to be a hybrid of them both)

Yet he's SAVING them & your SHAVING them.........could be he feels the need to SAVE them from you

I thought Lion King was quite sad too (at least the part where Mufasa dies) and also Crossroads (not sad as in boo-hoo, sad as in how the hell did that ever make it to celluloid?) Don't ask we were stoned & it seemed like a good idea at the time......... That's just an entirely new case of 'sad'

I agree with the Crossroads thing. My cousins and I (not the porn-watching ones) were laughing the whole way through that. Please... 'Oh now, I can't sing... Britney, you do it for me. Please?'
Yuck!

I actually haven't seen Schindler's List, but I've seen what my Hebrew School teacher said is one of the most graphic Holocaust movies she's seen, and very hard to watch; The Grey Zone. It's a very good movie, but be warned that there are a lot of graphic images.

I don't like if it is too much visualized. Subtile hints can be as cruel and sad as shown things.

I started off writing down a sad movie, but my list kind of grew. Some are crying sad, others make me feel sad, and others leave me sitting on the couch feeling drained of any emotion, I'm just numb.

Leaving Las Vegas
Things Behind the Sun
Philadelphia
Wit
Watership Down
Schindler’s List
Where the Red Fern Grows
Saving Private Ryan
Boys Don’t Cry
The Champ
Kids
Joe the King
