Tolkien didn't give us the name of one city or village in Harad that I know of. How do you find your way around this place? We need a good guide.

Well seeing the only person who could help us out is the reason we're in Harad in the first place. and he doesn't have a pluse.
*All eyes go to Curubethion*

Don't worry-I'm still around! I was away over the weekend, and yesterday there was a big storm, so something was wrong with the DSL connection. I'll get something cooking right away. Now that our escort has a guide, we're set. Note to all: I'd really like for this RPG to feature lots and lots of character development instead of mucho, mucho action, so we should all try to flesh out every character as much as we can. This should be fun!

Curubethion, I was thinking a lot of place names will have to be made up since Tolkien doesn't give any. I have looked at a few MERP maps of Harad, and they make up places, too. You might want to look for that on Google if it is any help.
As much as I like action, I like character development, too. That is what I was planning for the tribesmen. He will probably do a lot of thinking out in the lonely wastes. This RPG sounds like fun. I am looking forward to it. |

This might help-and look! It's got a map! Now, why didn't our characters take the Harad road, I wonder...?

My character is never lost, either!
Of course, that may be because she's never going anywhere in particular.

Lady Willow Rose, my character never goes anyplace in particular either except to drive his herds, flocks, sheep and goats to seasonal pastures. Perhaps this tribe will go to the City of the Corsairs to sell wool and woven goods. That is a thought.

A question for Curubethion. Do you have a preference about names for Haradric characters as to whether they are Quenya, Sindarin or modern or ancient Near Eastern names? I would like to know the answer before I start planning for any player generated additions to Ulfang's Haradric band of warriors.
If anyone has any suggestions or ideas about any interactions between the Haradrim and the rest of the players, either write to me here or by PM. Thanks. Last edited by Udukhaturz : 05-05-2006 at 07:41 PM. |
