If you drive L.A. like you're drivng miss daisy, you are going to cause terrible accidents. It is the proactive, aware, and quick-witted drivers who are the safe ones. The out-to-lunch, stoned space cadets or little old men who are frightened about merging into traffic and do 50 in the fast lane are the ones who end up causing MAJOR accidents and pile-ups. My boyfriend doesn't drive with his head up his ass, he knows what he is doing. NOT ONCE in his entire lifetime has he ever caused or been in a car accident.

" Nobody walks in L.A.! " Well, can't complain about the post office today; I'm lucky to live near one of the rare post offices in L.A. that doesn't have uber-cranky postal workers and a perennial 10-mile long line that takes several years to get through... my post office is mellow, hardly ever a line, and the people who work there are actually NICE! Go figure, but I think this is kind of an anomaly as far as post offices go...

You know of the ill service from my post office mentioned above? Well, it's worse now. Today I skipped happily ouot the door to meet the ups guy. He gives me a crib . A crib! My sister in law had it sent to OUR house! Moreover, the cd that was supposed to have arrived on august first is LOST. Officially. Grrr...

The Sherman Oaks post office is BAD .
There's only one person behind the counter, and every ten minutes there's a five minute break .

I remember the Sherman Oaks post office!!! It IS bad, really really bad, and they NEVER change it! Even though TONS of people use that post office and need it! I used to live in Sherman Oaks and in Valley Village, a few years back. I miss the valley, man, I loved it! Good memories there, for the most part.

Temporary Venting Thread
The "Venting" thread has gone beyond its maximum 1,000 posts. Here's a new one. Rian is the original thread starter.
Vent away.

I was the original thread starter for the Temporary Venting thread, which was created when the original Venting Thread disappeared into cyberspace. I think TinuvielChild was the originator of the original thread - or was it Eruviel? Can't remember now - any oldsters out there remember?

Stupid computer virus
I clicked a link one of my friends had in his away message on AIM (I thought it would be his picture page)...turns out to be a virus. Now I have this porn page link in my away message, and it screwed up msconfig and control-alt-delete (task manager) and who knows what else. I deleted all the AIM stuff I had on this computer, did a virus scan (which got a few things), and ran a fix someone made online. Msconfig works now, task manager does (but then again I only know the virus messes that up from reading about it, I didn't try task manager myself and not have it work), I don't know about AIM since I don't have it now. Hopefully it's better...we'll see.

I wouldnt mind talking about some Tolkien
Ive come a long way to be told Im not polite. Illmake a deal with you. Stop the bickering. stop the insulting, start talking Tolkien. I did not come here to be singled out as Canadian, then be insulted for my origin and then criticised for defending myself. Snowdog shouldve been polite in the first place. I said nothing to irritate him and was insulted in return. I politely sent him a private message which he posted and here we are. whether ive been here a minute or 100 it doesnt matter. Lotesse has been saying ya hoo go then you are rude. It is too much. All I know is what ive said. Tolkien is the talk
Americans are not the only people on the www; dont act like you are I will defy all creationist bs Single me out and criticise me for being truthful and I will retaliate, if you deserve it. I am not afraid if you are rude i will send you a private dont be rude message, if you dserve it. Benefit from my experience. Be nice follow the rules I deserve a modicum of respect. I will debate whatever i want; whenever i want. however i want. But like I say, Id prefer to talk Tolkien? As is advertised. Any questions? |
