...it's not much of a show if somebody doesn't suffer, and preferably at length. Suffering is beautiful in any case, and so is anguish; but as for loathing, and bitterness... I don't think they belong on the stage at all.

Yeah, well, that's beside the point.

Oh, and here's a lovely portrait made while I was doing just that.

I must admit I've had more pleasant experiences.

That is a lovely one. I've seen it many times. Naughty Curufin, giving your big brothers grief like that.

You attacked him. You don't get to blame your victim. The guy was just defending his wife, children and kingdom!

If he'd just given over the Silmaril nice and quiet like, nothing would have happened.

Maybe he would have given it over if you had helped retrieve it instead of trying to kill his parents...

Bah, maybe if he'd been my nephew things would have been better.

Silly Lúthien.

Now that was not my fault. Blame that blasted husband of hers.

She was a nice girl. Enjoyed hunting with her.

And read my siggy quote for my feelings on him.

Don't listen to them. They brought it on themselves. Always trying to make us look bad, you see.

They attacked us first. Read the reports. We didn't hurt anyone until they started shoving and not playing nice.

You did try to steal their ships even knowing that said ships were their equivalents to the silmarils as far as precious works go.

They were ships, not Silmarils. And we just wanted to borrow them.

We needed them. And that pig-headed Olwë was simply being stubborn.

If you had been allowed to 'borrow' them, would you have still burned them to keep your brother from following you?

My uncle, you mean? Half-uncle, technically.

And I don't know, that would have been up to my father.

But they should have given them to us, out of sheer camaraderie, after everything we'd done for them.
