Well, with fertility drugs twins triplets and quadruplets are becoming less of a rarity. Before the drugs, the only twin "encounters" were in the same family. It has something to do with genetics, heredity, and statistics. Where in Hawaii does your brother live?

Tough luck w/ your sister, she sounds like a kak. My brother (twin) have always gotten along, probably because we were partners in crime. (It was so easy to irritate our other brothers! For some reason Jim got mad that we put his toothbrush in the bowl.) We are still best friends and we both live quite close to eachother. Ironically we are the only people in our family living in (or on) Hawaii. John moved back to London to run a small printing business, and Jim lives in Oskaloosa, Kansas. He's a fireman/EMT, and married. Jim and his wife Miyumi (Japanese lady, go figure), have adopted two boys Jeffrey and Heath (Korean kids) Of whom I have never met. You are also a decoy for wanting older brothers. They aren't cool, sweetness.

Are you a dude? I've found in most cases of Brother/sister twins, they have a better relationship than same sex twins.

Accualy, my twin isn't ALL that bad...we get along sometimes... we are kindof opposites though... It was funny, in SocialStudies class we were asked what we would do if it was the end of our lives (we had anywhere from 3months to 3 years left to live). Stephanie, my twin said that she would probobly break some law, like drive underage. I said that I would try t omake the best of my life and get smart really quickly so that I could become an author! My teacher annoyingly pointed out that "Well manored women are never remebered in history books" (or something like that)
Aack! Steph has been calling my a suck up ever since that fatefull day!
But I will previal! Stupid people are hardly ever remembered in a good way either, I mean some performers or criminals are, but I'm talking Nobel Peace Prize good way... Does anyone agree? 'A cage... Mine and Kiwi's maths teachert never knew that we were twins util the whole class told as he still doesn't believe it even after seening our partens on parents evening with our younger brother and sister and their twins aswell.

That's funny. One of Steohanies friends won't believe that we are twins either, even after all of our friends have told him so... It is quite funny!

Oh yes. I think it's much easier to be a brother/sister twin (like in my situation) than having a twin of the same gender. It mkaes the twin "factor" as it were less imposing and defining.

To all you twins out there: Does it bug you that your twin claims he/she is older even if they were only born several minutes before you?

No, because we weren't really bron in the traditional sense. Moema had a C-section becuase one of us *who knows* was backwards or something. so we were both taken out at the same time. This conversation is gross.

That's kinda funny! Two of friends who are twins don't know who is older, because there parents won't tell them because the parents are afraid the kids will start acting different because one is older or something...very very silly if you ask me, which no one did...

I dont have a twin but i wish i was an only child because being the oldest i ALWAYS get the blame. for instance i get done for apparently writing 'porn' excuse the languge but i would never write anything like that on a car window. just ask blackboar.

That's interesting. I'm an only child and have always wished that I had had a younger brother, preferably five or six years younger than me.

True, as an only child you don't get blamed for things you didn't do, but your parents can always gang up on you when they want to.

I have no illusions that I would have a perfect little sibling whom I would never get into fights with. One reason I would want an opposite sex sibling (yep, I'm a girl ) relatively far apart in age is that those qualifications would tend to reduce sibling rivalry, though it is possible we might not be as close, either.

However, one of my closest friends HAS a brother five years younger than she is, so I know sibling rivalry isn't eliminated.

I suppose that we always want what we don't have, right?

My brother is five years younger and he's awfully obnoxious a lot of the time! I always wanted a twin brother, or an older brother. Oh well. My grandfather has a twin brother, but I've only met him a few times. They're reeeeally different, I think, but they both married women named Charlotte. Wierd, neh?
