Hey, y'all, thanks for your answers. It's helped me out tremendously. My other option was to go the food court at the mall and survey people there.

I found this older thread looking for the Iraq thread. Interesting.
Survey of Canadian Attitudes Towards the United States 1. What is your citizenship? Canadian 2. Who is Canada's principle trading parter? The United States. Roughly half our exports go to the states, and about a third of their exports come to us. 3. When you thing of the United States, what word comes to your mind? No word came to mind immediately, but now I think "California" and "Fast Food Nation" (book by Eric Schlosser, very good.) 4. It has been said that "Canadian's are just Americans who live north of the 49th parallel." Heartily disagree. We so obviously have a different culture to anyone who cares to look. 5. Do you regard Americans as: Friendly and outgoing. 6. Would you characterize Canada-U.S. relations as: Tense, but usually friendly. Just buy our softwood lumber already! 7. What is NAFTA? The North American Free Trade Agreement. It allows Canada, the US, and I think Mexico to trade without tarriffs on the goods, facilitating trade between our countries. Lovely theory, but the US seems to disregard it whenever convenient. *ahem* softwood lumber *ahem* 8. Does the United States contribute to the defense of Canada? Yes. I don't really know how exactly. 9. Who is the United States' current President? George W. Bush, Republican 10. What is the most important reason for why you would visit United States? It's a very nice country, and I think California and Washington are lovely states I'd like to visit, especially Seattle. 11. What is the most significant issue that you think may affect Canada-U.S. relations? The war on Iraq, the war on terrorism, us supplying water electricity to the states, and the softwood lumber issue.
