You forgot about all the glorifying war, lets stick Americans in the place of Brits war movies...
Oooh... I forgot about Dungeons and Dragons... And yeah, I wouldn't say that FOTR was that bad... But I don't plan on seeing it anytime soon! I like the Coen brothers though - Just not, "O brother, whereart thou." I like Tim Burton as well, but he made a bad with the remake of Planet of the Apes - whats with that weirdo ending?! The only teen movie I've ever been able to sit through to date... is ... don't laugh.... Sixteen Candles!

It's pointless and fruitless to name the worst movies ever, I find, because first of all, there are all the intentionally-bad B-movies, or those that are just designed to make a few quick bucks off gullible kids or teenyboppers, or movies that are... well, just bad.
In other words, the selection is far too wide, and there are simply so many bad films that I haven't seen and never intend to see. However, I will point out some films that are generally considered to be good, in which I almost didn't see anything at all. Of more recent releases, the absolutely atrociously puke-ifiable Erin Brockovich come to mind...

Battlefield Earth is definitely high on list of worst movies I've ever seen. Possibly the worst. But I tend to avoid the really bad ones, especially the teen movies. Princess Bride is one of my favorite movies!!!

wow! you lot have quite a lot of hatred dont you!?
i completely agree with Nutty Professer 2. It was the most boring 2 hours og=f my life. i was constantly looking at my watch while my friend was roaringwith laughter. it was awful! Why does everyone have a hate for armageddon? I quite likeit. will never watch it again as it is guaranteed to make me into a living waterfall yet again but oh well. I'm surprised no one has mentioned North yet. And why do you hate titanic. I thought it was a very very good film but will not watch again for reasons stated above.

Love Galaxy Quest. Is very funny
I avoided the Nutty Professor movies like the plague. Titanic was terrible, excepting two things: 1. the music in the steerage party was done by one of my favorite bands and 2. Leo Dicaprio *ahem I mean Jack* dies

The cartoon LotR. I really hate that movie. Words cannot describe how much I loathe it. I also hate those countless science movies my science teacher made me watch.

RE: Worst Films ever made!
I loved 'Highlander' but all the sequels have been pretty terrible, especially the 2nd one which totally disregarded what happened in the 1st movie
I agree, Universal Soldier: The Return was a disgrace. I actually liked 'O Brother Where Art Thou' Oh and I think Sigourney Weaver's mere presence in the Aliens movies makes the movies bad, 'Aliens' would have been great without her in it in my oppinion. I can usually tell which movies I'll like or don't like, so I don't have too extensive a list of my personal hated movies.

Yes, Kahdrane is right. Bakshi LOTR is so so so bad. I mean they didn't even finish it, even they knew it was bad!
I saw Titanic once. Never again. I saw a bit of Armageddon the other night and I remembered how bad it was. I only watched the first hour of Nutty Professor 2. I was very very dissapointed with the phantom menace. I havn't seen attack of the clones yet, but I will probably feel the same about that too. (I do love the other 3 Star Wars movies though).

Cassiopeia, I found AOTC to actually be pretty good. Er, the last 45 min. especially. . some of it wasn't that great. . . But I was not expecting much, after The Phantom Menace. .

For most movies, I find that sequels are a great evil, especially if the first one ended conclusively.

There is, of course, the occasional good sequel. Hey, Toy Story II was better than the original, in my opinion! So they're not all bad--just the great majority.

Ack...it has FINALLY left my state, and I am sad. I was going to go see it one last time, but alack, alas, it has passed OUT of the (mid)West

Given how bad FOTR was, I think there's still a chance for the 'sequels' to be better. Well, I live in eternal optimism.
