I agree with Rosie in wanting to see A Good Year. I hear it's really good plus I love Ridley Scott.

I also want to see The Departed. It looks really intense, but then again, I guess that's what I should expect from Martin Scorsese.

Flags of our Fathers looks to be really good, also. Clint Eastwood is proving to be quite the director.

Rescue Dawn is gonna be sweet, I'm sure. Werner Herzog never disappoints.

Wow, I'm really glad I wrote this. I had no idea how many movies I actually was looking forward to seeing. I thought this year was going to suck for movies!

Oh, The Fountain looks cool. It will quite possibly not be so cool, but I can't help but want to see it. I'm just such a softy for that stuff.

You can find trailers for all these movies at

http://www.themoviebox.net/trailers/

Jade Warrior, a Finnish-Chinese production, with elements from the Finnish national epic Kalevala and Chinese mythology.
Fantasy, kung fu and the Kalevala: I have to see this.

Husband and I saw Flyboys last weekend and enjoyed it. He is really into planes and was a little annoyed by some of the historical inaccuracies, but liked it nonetheless.

I'm looking forward to seeing Eragon. I think it will be released in December.

I'm not exactly sure what it's about, actually, besides the fact that it's a romance and there are some fantasy elements to it which include the Tree of Life, though I'm not sure in what context these elements appear in the film. Here's it's general write up from Yahoo Movies.

Quote:
Three parallel stories--about love, death, spirituality, and the fragility of existence--as told through the odyssey taken on by one man in his thousand-year struggle to save the woman he loves. His epic journey begins in 16th-century Spain, where, as conquistador Tomas Creo, he commences his search for the 'Tree of Life', the legendary entity believed to grant eternal life to those who drink of its sap. As modern-day scientist Tommy Creo, he desperately struggles to find a cure for the cancer that is killing his beloved wife Isabel. Traveling through deep space as a 26th-century astronaut, Tom begins to grasp the mysteries of life that have consumed him for more than a century.
Sounds trippy, neh? I really want to see it. As I said, it could be crap, but it sounds far to interesting to ignore.

You can find a trailer for it at the MovieBox.net, which I posted a link to in my last post.

I wanted to see that! Ooooh.... My brother says when he and his friends went, they took gummy worms and threw them on people when the snakes jumped out. Jumped out said metaphorically, of course.

Tell me about it...I can't stand these movies where the candidate wins for bieng all humanity-loving, as if the others didn't use that tactic themselves?
