Generally I'm quite a lazy bum. I do like reading a lot, mainly SF, fantasy, historical mysteries and a few classics. I draw, paint and scribble short stories once in a while. I like playing adventure computer games. There a lot of hobbies, like sewing, building space-ship models and crocheting in which I take a renewed fancy occassionally and emerse myself in them and then lose interest again. I'm trying to stick to swimming. I like looking after the garden pond and currently I'm photographing flower and pretty insects and trying to remember all their names.

Heh, my dad does that too. We've been bringing him special sorts and sizes of cans, bottles and brands when we come across them.

It's less of a habit, and more of an all-consuming lifetime passion .

What computer games have you played recently? I typically play the online multiplayer versions of computer games more than I do the single player ones. Some of my favorites are the Jedi Outcast/Academy games, and of course Halo.

I´ve been playing The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth - the Rise of the Witchking. It´s great! I´ts an expansion pack to BFME2. Naturally I have the first one too. My other hobbies are reading (alot), drawing (unfortunately rarely), writing a book (doing well) and archery. And of course mooting

Nothing quite as fancy, I'm afraid. I'm not very fond of shooter or strategy games (mainly because I suck at them, and also because they often scare the living daylights out of me ), I prefer adventures games with puzzles and riddles, but they're getting hard to find with shooter and strategy games being far more popular. Last games I've played were Ni.Bu.Ru and Myst:revelation.

Two of my favourites is an ancient Disc World game and The Two Towers (which still has little HD-disks) for which I have to keep my old Windows 95 computer running.

I think I know the Disc World game you mean...I picked at it a bit, but never did much.

If you like Celtic music, check out Celtic Spring. They're really incredible.

I have so many hobbies its not funny.

I read, write (more of the latter lately), I'm a huge movie buff. Most of my paycheck aside from bills goes to the movie indistry

I collect things: the state quarters, figurines and I have recently started collecting Hellboy stuff.

Other stuff I do is Moot (a lot ) music and serf the net. I draw occanionally but haven't done it in a while.

As to the smoking comments, its hard for anyone to quit. My dad has been quiting for 13 years. He's down to a pack a week, (compaire that to 2 1/2 packs a day!!)

I´ve read of an (relatively) easy way of quitting: keeps lengthening the times between smokes. The body gets used to the low nicotine level. Hope this helps someone.

Heck, I already do that. I don't smoke nearly every time I want to.

Man, everyone is giving you such a hard time!

It no one else's business but your own. You'll decide what works best for you, if not then you'll pay the price. Just like most of the smokers these days.
Do as you please, make your own choices.

Screw everyone else. they can go tell someone else what to do.

Greetings, well I have a few hobbies which seem to take up way too much of my time. First off I'm a weekend woodworker. I love taking a pile of lumber and turning it into a pile of sawdust and if I'm lucky some sort of furniture. Secondly I'm completely addicted to the classic and semiclassic post 50's American Automobile. My current stable inclueds a 68 Torino GT, a 75 Ford Bronco and a 82 Merc Capri, lastly I play the bass and 6 string guitar.

I was making the comment of how hard it is to quit. It wasn't aimed at anyone in particular.

Quitting smoking is probably the most difficult habit to break. I quit cold turkey once for almost 17 years and guess what. Picked it back up like I did before I quit. The urge never goes away.

I like to SCUBA dive, do photography (still shots and motion, video too) especially underwater photography. I really like to dive with marine predators like sharks and rays, and one day I want to dive with a Great Pacific Octopus.

I'm all about the ocean scene, man.
