Pretty pic! I don't recognise them all... there's Val, Mahtaliel, Lily and Arwen, Viv, Tyaron and Alagos, but the others I can't recognise... but its very pretty, the background is great.

That is really cool, Gor - a wonderful "group picture". Thanks very much!
(Serenoli - the "Rian" pic is the one in the lower left, just above Tyaron/Alagos) So who are they all? I don't recognize all of them, either - clockwise from the top, it's Val, Aiwendis, Mahta, ?, Lilly, ?, Tyaron, Alagos, Rian, Viv, Khamul (is that right so far?)

I am glad you liked the poster.
The background is a picture of the Tharbad Bridge taken from the net : originally a cover of a MERP game. Clockwise from the top, it's Val, Aiwendis, Mahta, Buz-Penny, Lilly, Marty, Tyaron, Alagos, Rian, Viv, Khamul. Beautiful Boomerang is in the middle. If Earniel, Udu, Serenoli, LSP, Val and BB can still provide some pictures of their principal characters, I will be happy to add them! We sadly miss rpg-Earniel, rpg-Udu, Sapthan, Jas, Tol, Ray, Orethurion, Bumble and Constable BB. Perhaps I forgot someone? And I still haven't decided on a picture of the ML. I have found rpg-Shah in the new LMM's picture when they are drinking beer. I can use that one. I have an unused picture (olivier.jpg) on my hard drive from the times we were selecting pictures. I shall try to attach it. Does anyone want this pic for their characters? It looks rather like Udu to me. Alternatively, it may be Ray. *** Anyway, if you send the pictures or the links to the pictures, I will gladly add them. Our game deserves a good memorial! |

That's brilliant Gor. Would you be interested in restarting the Fellowship? CS, if you ever read this then please come back, remember what a good time we had in the Fellowship?

thanks, TD - is it just for wraiths/"baddies"? I don't know if it would work out, because mainly "good" characters (but with bad in them) are much more interesting to me.
more pics - Charles Boyer: http://www.thejoyboys.com/pix/boyer.jpg Here's a pic with a kind of ML/Aiwendis feel: http://home.hiwaay.net/~oliver/conquest.jpg another Boyer: http://www.hurrellphotos.com/images/cart_images/40b.jpg Here's a nice pic of Ava and Peter Lawford: http://www.27577.com/avagardner/imag...ava_lawfrd.jpg anyway, just some ideas

Thanks, Rian, for the pics. "Conquest" is good, I mean I like its mood and the lady is OK. Price is cool, perhaps the closest to what is needed.
The rest don't fit my image of the ML at all. I shall have to look more... TD, about the Ringwraiths. Thanks. At least not now. I need a loong break, I feel still very much in Tharbad. |

I asked TD to ask you about Ringwraiths, but I knew you'd want a long break before re-starting over there. I just don't want us to forget the existence of our old Fellowship, because we said we'd never let it die completely but then it did, once Of Wraiths started. Still, we all need a bit of time before jumping right into another RPG; I know I sure do.A good two or three weeks, give or take. The memory of all those fights and all that frustration still has to fade a bit more, for all of us no doubt. What I really wish is that Crazy Squirrel comes back, too. I shall keep my fingers crossed.

I can totally picture Ray as being a young Laurence Olivier, just a little bit more rugged but the same amazing good looks.

http://www.bardonthebeach.org/images...let/splash.gif http://www.playergallery.com/hamlet.jpg And I advise you to go to www.images.google.com and look for Hamlet - the most famous blonde medieval guy. Or, as Udu suggested, look for "medieval costumes" -also gives lots of pics. Perhaps you can think of some others words to look for. Choose your pic! |

Val, are you satisfied with your avatar pic, or do you want another for Val? I remember there was another picture proposed in autumn, the one with the crown...
Udu, many thanks for excellent pics of your characters! Serenoli, Earniel, BB, sun-star, please send yours! |

I was watching the old 1960's "Batman" TV show with my sons last night, and Catwoman was the villain. Julie Newmar was quite attractive in her day. I wonder if any of our lady-characters would like to use her. Or... we COULD even use her current look (a bit more aged) for Valandil's mother - if we want her sort of 'hovering over' him. Hmmm... wouldn't given Isildur a VERY attractive wife - esp in her Catwoman get-up. (or is the Julie Newmar look thereby reserved for Beruthiel? )

Beruthiel would have made a great RPG. But what is the point to start another one if we couldn't manage the Tharbad one? |
