I have a personal day which I have to use before the end of the year, so I'm taking the 19th off for a long weekend and hopefully will see ROTK that afternoon as soon as my husband gets home from work. Can't wait!

We'll be keep our tradition by skivving off wed. Dec 17, 10 am. Going to the big screen in the old theatre downtown. The last movie I saw there was Star Wars (man, I'm old.!). I know what you mean, Lizra. I feel sorry for the family having me along pointing out the deviations from the book (man, I'm annoying).

My plan is rather like cee2lee2's. Take a day off Wednesday or Friday, especially if there's an A.M. starting time, like for Matrix 3, so it might not be as crowded with everybody at school.

I'll be going Christmas day with my hubby. The theatre won't be as packed as usual, and I can cry all I want to without having a stranger sitting next to me. Of course, Paul will be rolling his eyes at my outbursts of emotion, but I can deal with that.
Hey Lizra, don't think I didn't entertain the thought of a visit to Indiana .

Ah, you know Indiana isn't that far from Akron. Let's all just meet in Toledo.

December 19th, I believe. The BF's work has hired out a cinema for us to watch it in as they did the previous years. Always good to get a freebie.

As it says on my tickets: 12:01 AM Wednesday, December 17th.
Screw work, I'll call in sick if I'm too tired in the morning. I have that luxury. Too bad EVERYONE in my immediate area knows I'll be going opening day. Everyone's been asking me. I should've lied. Had to go at midnight cause I've (we've) been waiting too long. Plus my buddy is going to Japan that day and he wants to see it here without subtitles. Imagine if it was like Star Wars - 3 years in between. I'll probably see it at least twice in the theater, with my wife and then with my brother-in-law. I'm going to go stand/sit at about 9pm so that we can get some decent seats (center, center). We're going to the AMC 30 Deer Valley in Phoenix, AZ. Anybody else in the Moot from Phoenix? If you haven't bought tix yet, come join us! That showing was 75% full. |

Was going to see if I could get tickets for the 17th after work - but it turns out the Thunder have got a friendly on against a student XIII that evening, so that will have to take priority! But I'm sure I'll be seeing it soon after.

Hopefully my dad lets me see it on the evening/late afternoon of the 17th, but we don't have tickets yet. My dad won't like being around me if he keeps me from going.

I would LOVE to have one or more of you guys to go with, but I'll be going alone because no one I know here (my husband will watch the kids, he doesn't want to see it anyway) is interested in or able to see it when I am: Dec. 17th, 10:30 AM (I was SO happy they'll be doing a morning showing, if it had been later, I would have had to wait till the weekend!) I already have my ticket. So if anyone is taking a trip to FL next week, let me know and maybe you could come with me (but I don't mind seeing it alone -- I can avoid having anyone talk to me that way! ) I'll have to remember not to drink anything that morning -- my theater has the running time at 3hrs., 40min. Must not leave theater during movie! P.S. -- I see this forum has been very...lively...while I was gone. |
