Is confuzzled... are you saying you don't know any Tolkien words? Here's a good one to add to your repetoire: mellon. It means friend in elvish. Also, see my signature for an excellent Gandalf quote. It's from the part where the Fellowship is going to Moria, and they are attacked by Wargs. The quote is the spell Gandalf uses to light a tree on fire. They then drive off the Wargs.

You know you're obsessed when you help people build up their Tolkein repetoires.

Yah, I do that too. Except sometimes, my nasty sisters hide then on me. And one time I decided to bring one of my LotR books to school to read, and people from my class would take them and go running around the class, until I cornered them, yelling at them in elvish (even though I only know, like, 12 words).

i think that those things are sweet. (apart from the running up to bears one. slightly crazy, and stealing gnomes from your neighbours to go sailing with. slightly creepy.

You spend hours adding all the Tolkien words that aren't in the Microsoft Word Vocabulary to the database. (And I mean all of them)
e.g. Faramir *right-click, add*
Boromir *right-click, add*
Denethor*right-click, add*
Eowyn*right-click, add*

etc.

You are always wandering about. Either because :
a) You are pretending to be in Arda (you are homesick)
or
b) You forget what you are doing because you are thinking about something Entmoot or Tolkien-related. (I did this when thinking about the Valar or something or other)

Just finished that. I had to double-check some of the spellings and accent marks.

Oh, yes! When I run spellcheck, I get annoyed when it says I spelt Frodo or Galadriel wrong. I finally realised you can add those words to the dictionary.

No, you know what annoys be more? That it doesn't even have TOLKIEN! I got furious! Something else that is annoying is that you have to add in Frodo's and Galadriel's and all that jazz as well, because they are 'new' words too.

You know what? I just copied a Quenya wordlist into Word. Haha. Half a thousand words with the squiggly red line underneath.

Back to the topic we were on before; I got 2 Tolkien books today! w00t! The HoMe are way to expensive now, so I can't get them yet... Crud! So now I have
1 LotR (3 volumes)
1 The Hobbit
1 Silmarillion
1 UT

- which I think is the basic Tolkien collection...

Strider

The appendix is part of the big LOTR book- at least in my book, after the three books the appendix appears.

In all the versions I have seen, it is considered a part of RotK or of the one volume editions.

Following me again, Lai?
