I was just folding a bunch of towels and I remembered the people that I stayed with for two weeks of this last summer when I was in Washington DC... The mom was a really fun, great woman and she would crack me up because she would constantly say things like, "Well there's sandwich fixings in the fridge if you get hungry. You're family now, so you have to pull your own weight," and just random things... keep in mind I never asked her to make me a sandwich
 .Or when I had to do laundry... she said, "Well the washer and dryer are upstairs, feel free to help yourself." So I put my stuff in the washer then went to watch a movie with her son and the girl who was also at the singing program... when I went back upstairs to finish my laundry after the movie it was all already done, folded, and sorted out onto my bed. When I thanked her, she said, "Oh it was no bother. I'm not your mother though, so you'll have to put your own clothes away." It always makes me laugh to think about that. My mother hasn't washed, sorted, OR folded my clothes since I was seven or eight . |

Probably you can make a bunch of stuff that I've never heard of!
I'm so excited! This is my wedding year! My fiance couldn't wait to get a few things, so we picked up laundry baskets and hangers from Wal-Mart today! Yay for being married and moving out! I've found out the bad thing with only keeping a few close friends... you don't have hardly any choice when it comes to bridesmaids. Not usually a big problem, but only my best friend is a cert. I've got all these friends but they're not close at all hardly and I just don't know which ones to ask! Geez, Louise!

Fiance has 6 brothers. He doesn't think all of his brothers will want to stand with him (he told me 3 as a definite number) and he has friends in addition to this.
In the meantime, I'm dealing with the idea of buying a mattress second-hand. It's not too bad to SAY, but you have to get past not knowing SO much about what you're buying... who's slept in it, what's in/on it, etc. *sigh* I'm having to get used to this whole not always being able to buy what I want, and I hope I'm doing it gracefully!

Heh, don't mind me, I think the whole bridesmaid idea is silly in the first place
We Dutchies do things differently.Secondhand things... I know you can get lovely second hand things, but a mattress isn't that expensive new and it does feel kinda like being someone elses underwear... I hope that didn't just make it more difficult >_< Things like furniture etc. can be lovely second hand though. And clothes in general, depending on where you buy them. Oh, and books.
