I am on the internet because I promised to keep my parents appraised of my whereabouts, because I have to check bus-schedules etc. and manage some details for my trip with several different people.

After I'm done with finally answering the PM here, I'll go curl up with a book on the veranda of the house of my friend though. He has a great library, it makes me drool...

Oh yes, flight: 1st one got delayed, so when we got to Munich all 22 of us could just wave goodbye as we saw our plane leave the gate, then I got rebooked to Newark rather that Montreal, but I had to wait a while, when I got there, the flight to Montreal had been canceled and I'd been rebooked to Toronto, on the 2 last flights, but once again due to bad weather I didn't make either of them. Then I was brought to a hotel where I could sleep for 3 hours before I finally could head out to Montreal. That was about 30 hours without sleep.

I basically travelled from the west coast to the east one just to see this comedy today. And, as it turned out, it was so worth it! I almost cried with laughter

Even the rain stayed away during the (outdoor) play, although it rained both immediately before and after it.

My little sister is getting married!

And she has officially asked me to be her Matron of Honor

We've had an agreement since we were little girls that we'd be one anothers' maid of honor, and she was mine, and now it's coming true for her.

I am so, so, so happy for her!!!!!

I don't know how I missed it! O_o Yes! Thank you, that is a great help to know. My mom and I did a little research and what we found was something along the lines of 'emotion' or like... very strong feelings. But your translation makes much more sense

Typhoon Day, so no work/school.

It's been hot hot hot and dry dry dry (water shortages) so this is welcome.

And nothing like driving to a (safe) site overlooking the harbour and watching monstrous waves come crashing in while getting tossed by the wind and drenched with rain.

Well, after another night of almost complete sleeplessness I discussed my problem somewhat with my parents, and... um... the end result is that I went and bought myself a nylon string guitar

Basically when I get anxious it keeps me awake at night, so I have the problem a lot during the school year and I'm having it now as the semester approaches.

My problem is that I this strange... it's like a craving, to be doing something 'progressive'. Like playing a video game where you level up a character, or writing down part of a story, or doing music.

Since video games/writing both tend to wire me up, and I certainly can't sing or play the piano at night, we figured a guitar would be a great de-stresser for me. We have a steel string guitar but that really hurts my fingers and I don't like the sound as much as nylon... So I went and got a nylon guitar.

I wasn't sure it would work, but boy does it ever

. It's so soothing, and I feel like I'm actually 'doing' something. Hopefully this will be a great help for me.
