I got another one now: Based on the fact the Mat thinks she is the most beautiful woman he has ever met (sound familier?), I think Halima is really Lanfear.
Now to figure out who the other one is?

It's a bit more complicated than that. RJ likes to throw in quite a few "most beautiful women".

In theory, you should be able to identify Halima once she tells Delana her real name, but that assumes you figured out who the two were back in the LoC Prologue, which is no easy task. But more hints do crop up as you read on.

I finally remembered exactly who Halima was...there's a gigantic hint in the method that she aided the escape, if my memory serves me correctly...

It was kinda obvoius to me seeing that only, IIRC, female Forsaken has been killed so far.

George Martin is good, but then you'll be waiting on more books.

Zelanzy's Amber series is real good, but a pretty quick read.

I enjoyed David Eddings Belgariad stuff as well, though it's a bit on the lite-fantasy side.

BTW, what is the consensus on the prophecy that Mat got from the Eelfinn (or was it the Aelfinn?): "To die and live again..." Was it fulfilled in Rhuidean? There's just part of me that doesn't really think so...and of course, it might have also referred to that little ending on FoH.

I think it was the Aelfinn. Well he did die both times, and Rand brought him back both times. What was the other one beside his marrage to the Daughter of the Nine Moons?

A little birdy gave me a hint that Halima is not who I thought. Also saidin kinda gave it away. and no, he is not a mooter.
