VENT TYPE THING:

bloodrops on clothes and welts on my shoulders
bright streaming gashes and warm fuzzy headaches
blue-black bruises, bound up with bandages...
These are a few of my favorite things.....NOT.

Ah, the joys of-not-backing-down-when-you-are-easily-out-numbered-(but not over powered or out moxied)- by 5 fully grown men. Oh, my body is really regretting it, but my pride is loving it. I wish sometimes I could be content with being the meek little thing that physically I AM. But no, I have a streak of stubborn pride to paint a barn with.

Out having a drink with a girl, hear a few drunk...god knows what, whatever they were they were huge....Men making comments on my lady companions...ehm, VIRTUE, and I am immediatly up to arms. Ask them politely to refrain from making such comments and to appologize to my friend.

They refused, I gave em another chance...they refused and made a suggestion of where I should stuff my empty beer glass...So I broke out a can o' whoop-ass. And so did they. Trashed the place and started one of those old fashioned western tavern brawls. It was great. But I made sure my lady friend got out, gave her my keys, escorted her out, and got dragged back. Ended up that those fellows got righteously creamed, and I was taken through the wringer a few times too.

BIG PROBLEM: I think that they are going to blame me for the damage done, and I think I am going to get arrested....Oops.

Me thinks ye may be charged. As a long time self-defense/martial arts instructor I would say to you that you forgot the first rule of combat; walk away.

i too have this affliction occasionally, so i sympathise but in that situation walking away is not shameful: it's sense.

at least having taking the punishment you can feel proud as you say ..

liked the sounds of music thing!

hope you feel better soon: you were one against five; seems like a good argument to say you didn't initiate it: they would not back down and forced the issue .... don't pay a penny!

Eh, I'll just hide out. And I dont think I'll come to that much trouble, small town, first name basis with all the cops. Anyways, those five guys were out of towners, so I think I'll get off.

First rule of combat: there are no rules of combat. There are rules to help you avoid it, but there aren't actual rules FOR it. And if my female friend wasn't the one being targeted and they were just picking on me, I woulda let it go more than likely.

One thing my father taught me that I still adhere to: Defend your lady when she needs defending. And at that moment, she did. And pride is pride, for me its always there. Either way, I'll own up to what comes when it comes.

Yup, if ya screw up, this is the place to fess-up, eh. But my own vent today concerns my boss (how original). I'm SOOO TIRED of teaching my esteemed boss how to do his job (computer illertate-2 years from retiring - slacker) when he gets paid THREE times more than myself AUUGGHHH!!

VENT: my race got cancelled DANGIT! But it was raining heavily, so....for safety's sake, I can see why. DARN IT THOUGH! I was so looking forward to this particular race... Cause I fudged it last year and I was hopping to win it this time round.

Oh, one of those jobbers. Though I take it you two are still friendly towards one another...Reminds me of the relationship I had with a fellow jockey not that long ago, though we became fast friends afterwards..

Horse race, best kind there is. Unfortunatly, its subject to a wide variety of reasons for cancellation.

I'm going to vent here because I can...

[rant]Memorial day weekend, EZ board was hacked and most of my board was wiped out. Now most of what was there could be easily replaced as I had saved it, but a character archive was overlooked, and also one of the best RPs I ve written in was lost. I been hoping for a retrieval of this thread but so far nothing. That will teach me to be complacent in backing upo my own stuff. I mean, I paid for gold there because they advertised that gold was backed up weekly. [/rant]
