Las Vegas. Been there once. Very boring! I think I fell asleep on a bench. A visit to the Rocky Mountains or Yellowstone is more my cup of tea.

I am married and have a family. I am old enough to drink. Partying, gambling and the other stuff there is just not my bag.

Bah, humbug. What's the point of paying to go to an outrageously expensive, atrociously gaudy place to drink, when there's a great little stream-crossing 15 minutes walk away, and a little shack on a spectacular hill-top 20 minutes walk away? It's silly, I tell you. Silly!

In my backyard I have a wonderfully huge cottonwood tree and a river. I can go and sit under the cottonwood tree and enjoy a nice cup of English style tea. I don't need to blow my money on a trip to boring Las Vegas.

....tells the band to take 5, and then commence with the Sousa selections.
Another cup of Starbucks and a chocolate donut, and I'm set.

Not being rude or anything, but every time you come in, all you want is piece and quiet. Why?

Even though I've read everything that's happened since I was last on, I still don't feel like joining in on the Vegas discussion because I wouldn't know what it's like besides what I've seen on Mr. Monk Goes to Vegas. Not to mention that I'm not nearly old enough to go there.
*gets self yet another mocha frapp.*

Basically, Vegas is glitz and pizzaz with great people watching.
You totally forget you are in the real world. P.S. Monk goes to Vegas episode is like an old Love Boat show. It doesn't show Vegas at all.

Where'd you get that idea!? *smacks Thain hard on the side of the head* It's a town just like any other! You could go there any time really. But beleive me, it's WAY overrated, except for Freemont Street and the Mid Strip. Nice drag racing track just to the (North?). But Freemont Street is a must-see. Espcecially the roof they built over it. (Not gonna spoil anything. Let's just say that they have probably near a billion LEDs.) The only difference is that people IN the casinos will frown on your presence if your underage like us. I've had more dirty looks there than I've ever had in Laughlin. IMO, if you have a watercraft of some sort (like we do), Laughlin is much more fun.
