I was at a Washington Mutual Bank today, getting some money so that I wouldn't have to wait for lunch until the school quarter ends, and I saw a screen saver for the ATM. Or . . . I don't know if it would be called a screensaver, maybe an advertisement. Anyway, it was really cute. The picture on the ATM was of a calico guinea pig craning its neck upward, going nose to nose with an attractive veterinarean. Such a darling picture .
I adore guinea pigs!

^_^ Cute cats. Are they the same age? The right one looks older somehow.

One is a month older but I never remember which! BTW, interestingly, Teddy, the fluffy one, at their last vet weighing, came in just one ounce over Dart. Underneath all that fur (he's part Norwegian Forest Cat) he's actually slender!
Here's another shot (they really get along and play together quite well).

We can never have enough cat pictures right? Here is my kitten cat. (he's not a kitty, he's 4, I just like saying that.) He still doesn't have a proper name but you can call him "coke hands" if you like.

I love cats. I have 2 white cats, one is named Pippin and the other Merry. They're a little over a year old and tthey're brothers. They're very friendly and like to be held .... too much. Everytime I'm doing something either of them or both want to sit on my lap. If I shoe them away they go right to my fiance. They usually go to him anyway because he feeds them too much, and they like that.

Yeah Here's Kiara these days, as cute as ever, but more proper dog than puppy (now they're 3 years old):

Pixel is now just over a year old. He's still very kitten-ish, even if he is a giant heffalump. He now weighs 13 1/2 pounds, but he's still growing. His favourite games vary between the 'pat-my-belleh-and-nom-nomz' & 'chasingks-round-the-box'. He's very cute.
And here he is again @ 12 weeks, just after we got him:

Kitty likes to sit like this. I've never seen cats do that before. Usually they tuck their legs under. He looks like a Sphinx. |

he's just laying on the floor, cuddling with the shoes. He likes shoes for some reason.

Uhmmm, on my screen I see a cat laying on a very blue pool with a nice view and white chairs. It looks rather tropical. "Bahama Cat" or something...
No shoes and no floor in sight...?

I really enjoy reading about everyone's animals. I'm a confirmed animal lover. Currently we have two dogs, two rabbits, two zebra finches and one horse that belongs to our daughter. We have had guinea pigs and I love them too :-)

I'm really starting to think that Rosie was abused as a puppy. I've worked with her quite a bit, but she's very peculiar...
If you call her, she'll either pretend to not hear you, or just lay down on the ground and not want to move. If you keep calling her, eventually she'll get up and slink over to you like she expects you to kick her, and she'll stop just outside of arm's reach. If you just sort of tap your leg, and say "c'mere" without really looking at her, she'll come running right up to you. If you call her and say "good dog" a lot, she'll come slowly, but she'll come closer than she will if you just call her. Still looks like she expects to get kicked though. If she's barking at another dog, or sees something that interests her on a walk, it's like I don't even exist. I don't yell, of course, but I probably could and she wouldn't take one iota of notice of me... but then if I bend down and cup her face in my hand to make her look at me, she cowers and literally pees on the ground, and that's the only way I've found to make her pay attention during a walk. I only have to do it once, and then she'll be attentive for the rest of the walk. I dunno... it's pretty weird. I may need to take her in to some obedience classes or something. Another weird thing was that when I went to the singing competition and I was gone for... something like 4-5 days, she totally attached herself to my dad, and when I got home she didn't want to come see me at first. I guess she thought I'd abandoned her or something... It took a little while for her to go back to acting normal around me. Last edited by Tessar : 09-14-2008 at 01:01 AM. |
