Many people complain about America - then just use it as a stopping off point until they can go back home. While here - they complain about everything American. I have no problem with anyone who immigrates to the US - but i can not stand it when I hear people who come here and then constantly complain about our culture. I have heard it TOO many times from people. Those immigrants - if they don't like it can leave. As for speaking a foreign language - fine - just as long as they make an effort to speak English. And we accept a lot of cultures. Cingo de Mayo is basically a new American Holiday too - just like St Patricks Day and other "immigrant" holidays. We as a country embrace the foreign cultures - but they can not expect Americans to just stop waving the flag because they don't like it.

Don't complain if the Iraq' people break international law when the US is doing it itself........there is nothing wrong with segrating the US from international law......your country is in a position of power to do that. But don't you think it is hypocritical to expect other country's to stick to the law when you don't? |

Along with everyone else outside of the US...personally, I don't understand it; I've never had anything against any culture or nation. *sigh*

What bugs me is that people who come to America and plan to stay here for the rest of thier lives don't bother to learn English. There was an Army commericial for the US army in SPANISH!! that makes me mad.

In this place will I abide, and my heirs, unto the ending of the world.' 'Then Tuor arrayed himself in the hauberk, and set the helm upon his head, and he girt himself with the sword; black were sheath and belt with clasps of silver. Thus armed he went forth from Turgon's hall, and stood upon the high terraces of Taras in the red light of the sun. None were there to see him, as he gazed westward, gleaming in silver and gold, and he knew not that in that hour he appeared as one of the Mighty of the West, and fit to be father of the kings of the Kings of Men beyond the Sea, as it was indeed his doom to be; but in the taking of those arms a change came upon Tuor son of Huor, and his heart grew great within him. And as he stepped down from the doors the swans did him reverence, and plucking each a great feather from their wings they proffered them to him, laying their long necks upon the stone before his feet; and he took the seven feathers and set them in the crest of his helm, and straightway the swans arose and flew north in the sunset, and Tuor saw them no more.' -Of Tuor and his Coming to Gondolin "Oh.
