What's the colour of the flower Malos?

Is that the name of the flowers of the Mallorn? Then it would be gold.

I've been meaning to tell you we don't have any such month as "Mars".

In the spirit of Entmoot I'll give you a GO. HOORAY but it's MARCH.

Right... I knew something is wrong with Mars.

What did Elrond have when Frodo and Sam met him (and other elves) before the Grey Havens?

It's one of my favorite passages in the books.

"wore a mantle of grey and had a star upon his forehead and a silver harp was in his hand and upon his finger was a ring of gold with a great blue stone, Vilya, mightiest of the Three."

It never ceases to move me when I read this part.

And now for something completely different.

When the King of Rohan rode he went with guards. When "pursuers" approached at what distance were they challenged by those guards? "halt...who rides in Rohan?"

See I said it would be different.

Okay, Alex Tribek. That was confusing enough. And I don't have my book.

I'll wait. Waiting.
Still waiting.

I only know as much about myself as my mind can work on under its current conditions. And its current conditions are not good.

Can't see what all the fuss is about - the riders (Aragorn's Dunedain) were fifty paces from Theoden's party before they were challenged.

THANK YOU IN CAPS for solving this question which was a true test of the word "trivia". You may choose a question of your own and pass into the West.

I really am pleased.

Ah, the pressures at the top for a professional trivia master, eh Spock?

Who made the apparently contradictory statement "Go then and labour in healing! Go forth and fight!" and to whom?

Easy one following Spock's masterclass in trivia....

"Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement. For even the very wise cannot see all ends."

"Very well,' he answered aloud, lowering his sword. 'But still I am afraid. And yet, as you see, I will not touch the creature. For now that I see him, I do pity him."
