They did:

The Picture of Dorian Gray

Category: Horror/Suspense
Director: Albert Lewin
Cast: Hurd Hatfield, Angela Lansbury, Sibyl Vane, George Sanders, Lowell Gilmore, Peter Lawford, Donna Reed

Running Time: 1 hr 48 mins
Distributor: MGM Home Entertainment
Summary:
Adaptation of Oscar Wilde's 1891 novel about a handsome young Victorian gentleman who remains eternally young while a portrait of him grows old and bears the ugly scars of his vile undertakings. He keeps his loathsome secret locked behind a schoolroom door. Academy Award Nominations: 3, including Best Supporting Actress--Angela Lansbury.

quite good actually

Great, I will have to see if it is availible at Blockbuster or something. Did they do a good job of portraying Dorian? Hmm. I'll go watch it now...
Thanks Cirdan!

It's been a while but I remember liking it very much. It is B&W but then the story is old so it still works. Enjoy

I saw The Butterfly Effect the other day, last Friday. It was excalent, everything was better then I thought it would be, except for the stupid teens talking behind us, and a verble fight breaking out imbatween two groups about talking to much (shut the **** up! no, you shut the **** up). *sigh* can no one shut up during movies?

I finally rented The Time Machine, which was really good, and Merlin, which was equally good. I also rewhached Hook the other day, and Pirates of the Carabean. They were great.

I saw the most facinating film last night. It's called Millenium Actress and it's anime.

This guy is totally obsesed with this actress who has gone into hiding, but he finds her and the film is about him interviewing her about her life. Her life and the movies she has been in blend so much that it is hard to tell them apart. Through her life she has been chasing a robber that she helped and fell in love with to give him back his key. In all her movies she is chasing someone that she loves as well. Also, there she has visions of a mysterious old woman who follows her through her life. The old woman tells her "You cannot escape your fate. Your fate is to burn in the flames of eternal love. I hate you more than I can bear, and I love you more than I can bear."

It's a really wonderful movie.

Just saw it. Didn't see much to 'yay' about. Damned depressing, it was. See, it's sad enough that he supposedly died for our sins, and if you believe that, well and good. But I don't. So, if he existed at all, as far as I can see, a good man died in vain. And it sucks. Barbaric animals.

I saw Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
(MOOT, MOOT, MOOT, MOOT, MOOT) and League of Extra-Ordinary Gentlemen (MOOT, MOOT, MOOT, MOOT, MOOT).

I thought of Rating System for the 'moot:

1 Moot = lousy
2 Moots = mediocre
3 Moots = good
4 Moots = very good
5 Moots = Excellent

...What say ye?

There is a movie that I love that just came out on DVD and video called CAMP and it gets 3 thousand sold out seats in a theater, all with people screaming "MOOT!" at the top of their lungs!

It's about musical theater camp for teenagers.

I just finished watching Hidalgo the other day, and I thoguht it was pretty good It was not the BEST movie I have seen, but it might just make the top 10. It had good action and a very good plot line. It even had some really good humorous parts. And even as me not being a Horse lover, it was not that bad.

I've just seen "Girl with a Pearl Earring". I liked it a lot. I've always been a bit dismissive of Vermeer and co. but maybe I'll take a closer look now. This is not a film for impatient people though - it was very sloooow
