RE I still do hide under my covers sometimes because i still think a ghost is watching me in the night. I get scared when I sleep in the woods. I keep thinking of CSI. Stupid show.

i had to get allmost completly under the covers last night, because i was waching lotr all by myself, and i was getting scird and had no one to be by me that i could at least hope would protect me, my mommy was downstairs, and what if someone was upstairs hiding some where? i am gettting my s-s-self s-s-scared, bettter stttop *shiver*

I'm planning on getting the second dvd they are putting out. The one with 4 discs in it. I can't wait to see that movie again. I'm seeing it with a friend so i won't be scared.

It's not pathetic to be afraid to be alone. I used to be deathly afraid of it. Then, however, I got into acting and began to learn how powerful silence, stillness, and solitude are. If you become comfortable with yourself, then you will be comfortable alone. I found that the reason I had hated and feared being alone was because there was no one around for support. Be your own support.
Sorry, I'm going into Social Psychology this year and my mind is already spinning with theories of the inner workings of the mind, even though I haven't truly learned anything yet. In other words, take my advice, or don't.

Sometimes I can be afraid of meeting new people. Pathetic, I know, but oh well there it is.

This is going to sound a little familiar, but.....
It isn't pathetic to be afraid of metting new people. I used to be deathly afraid of meeting new people. (Don't worry, it's not all going to be the same.) I go to a church that's very inclusive, and my dad is very well known and respected there. So many, many times people would come up to me that I didn't even know and introduce theselves. Since I was shy and liked staying to myself, it was hell for them trying to get a conversation out of me. I always answered any question they had, but offered no topics of conversation and posed no questions to them.
Then I began acting, and over several months I began to break down that wall. There's still that small voice in the back of my head that tells me to run everytime someone new introduces themselves, but I find that the best way to conquer that voice is to keep defying it. Talk to the person, be the one who initiates the conversation. You'd be surprised what wisdom some of the most unlikely people can offer. Each time you defy that small voice, it gets weaker, and each time feels like a liberating experience.
So as I said before, take my advice, or don't.

I'm actually working on that already...but thanks for the advice

I act too, and I'm not (too) shy when I'm on stage, but when I'm not, it's really different. Also, being on entmoot is very different because I don't have to actually talk, it's writing. I have more time to think about what I'm saying. It's easier to talk to people here. I don't know where I'm going with this post, so there I'll end it.

Indeed, it's hard to talk to someone face to face because once something is said, it can't be deleted or taken back. I believe there's also something about looking into someone's eyes which frightens us, though, I cannot explain it. Something to consider, though, is that the cells in our eyes are the only living cells on the outside of our bodies.....take it as you will.

Picking the dark theme up again, I stoutly refuse to go downstairs in my house at night, unless someone is down there. Like a parent I mean, not like and evil murderer.
Another thing that haunts my dreams are choices. Some evil dude ids holding my mom and my best friend over a pit of fire, and it's telling me one of them has to die. Which will I choose. The dream usually ends with me jumping into the pit to spare myself the desicion and my friends and family the pain or feeling of betrayal.
