If you're obsessed with Tolkien and his works, his books will start to form piles in your home. If you're also a 'mooter you will find those piles next to your computer.

If I were to say that, the Atani children would understand me even less than they do now.

Today, I have worked out that my father is an Elf and my mother is Numenorean. (My dad is very good at Elvish, my mum too scared of LotR-ness to be an elf- she specifically stated that she is human) She is scared of LotR because of how it has taken over my life. Too bad that I can't be a hobbit, it would just be too strange a combination. I am also teaching my sister some poetry. Now she knows the first 2 lines of 'Three rings for the Elven kings under the sky..' |

Some more ways: -you forget the names for things in this world, and accidently replace them with words from LotR. When I was trying to tell my cousin about this ride called the Tower of Terror, I completely forgot the name and had to pause for a couple of seconds to recall what it was. (All I could think of was the Two Towers) I even forgot my real name and accidently said Linaewen instead, once. -You subconciously begin reciting Tolkien poetry (And apparrently walk around muttering things about Elves and evil) |

You start taking notes in shorthand by referring to LotR. Example:
~ The Muslims were victorious over the Hindus because Hindu leaders would often fight among themselves= orcish Hindu leaders ~ The Hindus also had unwise battle tactics. They uses elephants as weapons, but they were easily frightened and the killed numerous Hindus as well as Muslims= Hindu oliphaunts were bad But hey, it works. I passed the test.

Today I was singing "Earendil was a mariner..." very quietly under my breath in Spanish. I got to a part I knew well, so I stopped thinking about singing and did my work. Suddenly I realized I was singing REALLY LOUD and the whole class was looking at me. Then I tried to sing too high and my voice gave this SQUEAK and the whole class burst out laughing.

Where'd you learn it?
I often sing the first two stanzas of "Snow-white! Snow-white! " according to the Tolkien Ensemble at work.

you have a pin that says 'Frodo Lives!' and you take it everywhere with you... my pin is soo kewl, my friend got it for me when she was in mass. or somewhere north of LI Sound...if anyone knows where i'm talking about...lol, am i rambling?? heres another: you cant find one of your tolkien books and you freak out, running all over the house screaming 'my precious!! where has it gone?? precious!!' until your parents tell you to shut up, then you comfort yourself under your breath 'where has it gone precious? we wont let the nasty orcs steal it from us, nooo precious....' hehe, gee, i think i might just be crazy...now where would i get an idea like that??

LOL, that was funny!
When you buy flip flops and hairy stuff to atach to it, and then go to the theater with hairy feet. (You get so many weird looks when you do that! Or maybe it was the pointy ears?)
