Been there.
That happens all the time around here. For that matter, I can't find the computer desk right now (for all that I am sitting at it) |

it's been awhile...
since I've checked in! Ok, since noone has guessed this I will tell....
This was Gandalf speaking after the The Company heard howling wind and "fell voices" as they tried to pass over Caradhras. The next line is: " 'But what can we do?' cried Pippin miserably." |

Re: trivia game
Sorry to have dropped out of the game for a while, but between the computer and the computer desk, I've been having a lot of interesting times (ever tried balancing your keyboard on your lap while typing?).

Re: oops
"At once he was aware that hearing was sharpened while sight was dimmed, but otherwise than in Shelob's lair."
That last line came from the last chapter in the Two Towers. My sentence is "Do as you please in your madness, but let me first get down from this horse!" (hint: this is also from The Two Towers) |

Re: oops
OK since no one was able to find that one I'll tell you.
"I wish to see no eyes!" is the next line and it is in chapter seven of book three "The road to Isengard" on page 154. Try this quote "Now I am wondering what can have happened." You'll find this one in book one in "Fellowship of the Ring". PS I'm sorry that I'm late in writing back. |

Re: oops
That's spoken by Frodo to Gildor in the Woody End, regarding Gandalf's absence.
Here's one: 'It has been guessed already...for there have been strange portents here of late.' |

I'm still here, but am trying to cut down on how much time I spend on the computer (currently about 8-12 hours a day).

Re: okay, it's been waaaaaaay too long...
"It has been guessed already,...for there have been strange portents here of late." was said by Ingold to Gandalf and Pippin in Book Five chapter one, Minas Tirith.
Next quote: "Pride and despair! Didst thou think that the eyes of the White Tower are blind?" (hint: look in Return of the King) |

Re: okay, it's been waaaaaaay too long...
That last quote was spoken by Strider on the Last Bridge and the next sentence is "He held out his hand, and showed a single pale-green jewel."
here's your next fun challenge: "But we are envying Sam, not you." (hint:see book two) |

right.
next sentance is : "If you have to go then it will be a punishment for any of us to be left behind, even in Rivendell" spoken by Merry just after the Council of Elrond. now, to repay the 'something very strange' which I searched hours for (unsuccessfuly), try and find: "You must trust me." from the Two Towers (now what I really want is the 'Evil' face on ezboard right now ) |
