Hello, sorry I have had so many play practices and homework that I spend all day doing them. oh and eating and sleeping too...can't forget thathehehehehehehheheheh*ha he* right.
Gulio you can godmod my character to explain the cannons unless you really want Sicirus to do it then i would be happy too. I decided to speed to the trip up a little because it seemed that we were in a static state where nothing was happening and everyone would lose interst after a while. Not that I have but it is hard to work with just posting I have done this chore and this one and talked to this person about beards or weapons all day. So I hope it was fine. And I don't think we would not have noticed the bulks in the cape. My character is a bit funny with looking in peoples things. For various treausres if anything.

Ah yes, it feels good to yell at someone again. ^^ I'll go ahead and godmod you, Sicirus, if you don't mind horribly.
*waves hand wildly* Ooh, take Gulio! Gulio wants to go!

Wouldn't people responsible for repairs stay on the beach and... um... repair the ship?
Not that I'm trying to get rid of people so I can go. *cough* EDIT: I thought Dwarf women did grow beards. Didn't Gimli say that in the book? (Forget the movie! Forget it now... ) EDIT2: Don't we have to bring the ship onto the beach to repair the hull? Or is that what the people are going to the beach for - find a spot to get the ship up. (Via rolling it over logs?) EDIT3: I hope I didn't mess up in my last post there.

I think it is mentioned when we hear of Dis, Thorin's sister. But I'm not sure.

Minor, minor comment about food... but I don't think we'd have chicken, turkey, or ground beef in our supplies. I don't think any of it would last more than half a day without getting all full of salmonella etc.
Meet our poultry department manager, Sal Monella! Even though, Mexican wraps and Sloppy Joes sound completely delicious! (Want to come cook for me in RL? ) I think we have a bit of a fudge factor with logistics, but we don't have any refrigeration at all. So aside from the one day after we buy fresh rations in a port, say, we'd be restricted to cured or preserved stuff like salt pork or beef, tea, pickled or canned vegetables, or twice-baked bread like "hard tack". I think we could have some freshly made bread, but it wouldn't be your typical yeast-based bread that you buy in the store. I just made some, and we definitely don't have some of the major ingredients - margarine (or shortening) milk, sugar... Carrots, cabbage, potatoes, apples, rice, pasta and limes all keep for a while. This could result in something freshly made. Anyway that's not such a big deal, but it would add more of a pirate ship feel. Some of the things aren't strictly Middle-earth-ish (tea, rice, pasta, limes) but that's not so much of a stretch. We aren't a strictly Middle-earth ship. (Despite that, I really can't see a refrigerator or the like aboard our ship.)

[quote]Phiew, I was beginning to fear you would leave all the plotting to me. [quote]
No of course not. Anyway. I propose this: EXK, Eärniel, Sarin will go to the island in the row boat and scout out a place for us to 'dock' the ship on the beach. Koroush will also go and get himself some wood. Sicirus will then bring the ship in and we can camp on the beach for the night, and it will be interesting The next day there will be an expedition, and I'll let you know who goes on it once we're all on the beach.

My posting is probably become slightly...erratic in the future. I'm in the middle of my last exams (ever) and right at the start of a giant frightening work practical. Just a brief warning and apology in advance for that.
BQ, you can post about non-food related things too, you don't have to keep yourself to the cooking just because you're the ship's cook.

I guess I've had the sought-after position of steering for a while now - would anyone care to switch? I think it would seem weird if I did this for an entire day anyway.
