They're working on getting him to Nami (or just out of the hole)!

I like the shield idea... I was thinking a leather or cloth strap.. maybe like a swing for Aerin to sit in... with Quickleaf somehow attached.. or Quickleaf in the swing. I've got no clue.

*claps* Well done Willow! You'd make a good rescue ranger.

Well... my characters would anyway. Haldis has rather better knot tying skills than I do. You've seen my knots.

Heheh, point taken. You could too, probably, with a bit of practice

Hmm. Still wondering what to do with my groupies. Perhaps we should just go dither and find scrolls or something. How the hell would we know what to look for and actually nab something of importance rather than some orcish grocery list?

Luck? Besides, orcish grocery lists have a great deal of anthropological value. Just think, such a document would provide some answers regarding the orcish dialect of westron, which alphabet they used and if their diet in non-nomadic conditions really differed from the diets of their primitive-quendi ancestors.

Also answer the question of literacy rates among the common orc... If so, did they have some form of school system? Was it standardized? Hmm... Interesting.

*grins and pinches bridge of nose* With my luck, that's what I'll end up writing my papers on. Blind luck it is then.

The first part was the more likely one

I can see Radagast now: "Oh Look! A orcish grocery list. Alright gang the Entwives can wait. This is much more intresting"
Others: *blank looks*
*the weird all-most bf/gf roll their eyes and go off to play The Game*
Ent: Did he just say what I thought he said?

I daresay that after the rescue everyone will have more than enough of exploring for today. I suppose they can call it a day. Besides, Haldis and Aerin did find some scrolls in a study, those may very well be of interest to what the group is looking for.

LOL. See, this is why Tolkien never gave Radagast a chief part in LoTR, the poor guy just got so easily distracted by anything remotely or vaguely interesting that he just didn't have time for rings and other trinkets.

Wow... you guys can talk a LOT in an hour and a half. And about just about nothing, too.

Btw, Willow, don't let Haldis forget to grab those packs when she comes up!

Hehe the evil twin! She lurks around and types crazy story-posts I actually have a twin.. not that she's around

I guess we'll wrap up this painstakingly elaborate rescue mission now, people are prolly fed up with the blinded, wet elf anyways! Nami don't punch when he reaches the top because Quickleaf can't even see!

It's worst at around 6 to 8 AM and not too good in evening for that matter either. I've never felt actually really tired in my life before just a month ago, then I startted to get tired easily from mundane things. Walking 10 miles isn't a good idea, and I should have known better on that. I did it because Ingwe wanted to walk. He suggested I stay home but I didn't listen. Well, next time I'll listen.

So did any of the characters die since I was last here to post? Last time I really got to check around, the situattion was bleak. And now it seems Quickleaf is badly injured. I'm glad it sounds like he'll recover from that. Glass in the eyes really .... sucks. An eyelash or a small piece of dirt is bad enoughh!

I'm sure the group, at least the Elves, heard him scream so we're probably on our way there to investigate no doubt.

Depending how far he fell, how much rope do we got? I'm sure we can have something rigged up unless he's already out of danger.
1. You spelled Mari's name wrong, you said Mair.
2. You'll be alright, you're definitely ready to get involved here more.
3. As I had explained to you, Amy, that's pretty much what our group thinks so far, we don't know if we're going to get to the exit first or find the people we need to rescue first. If we find the exit first, then unfortunately everyone else will have to wing it lol.
4. Yea, Ingwionis heard Quickleaf scream, though he didn't know right off the bat it was him. Maybe not scream, but make a noise of pain none the less.
5. Everyone's got some rope hanging around somewhere, or else some people in the group of adventurers didn't pack wisely.

Sam: "Oh great, it's one of my knots, it'll never come loose. Well, we can't use that again either, and it's ashame. Lady Galadrial gave it to me."

* Rope comes loose. *

Frodo: * Smiles. * "Real Elvish rope!"

She's been so mad at him. He doesn't know that she has forgotten his stupidity. He might even think she thinks he is even more stupid, falling down a hole...

Well,....

How many people are housting the rope and how many are on standby waiting for the two elves to pop up?

And thought we were using Borin's Warg to houst the rope

The probably are at the back of the line, but you can't expect a Warg to be particularly careful with it's hauling, so the PEOPLE at the front are making sure it's not jerky, not too fast, etc.
