Neither. Apprehensive would be a good description. So far, it's been one disaster after another, though the house I'm going to live in looks nice enough.

 I'm sure it'll all be all right in the end, I just wish they wouldn't make those unnecessary, sloppy mistakes in the first place  Varna, go for it! I'm still working on 10.000, but that's still a long way off.

So, my advisor for my MA thesis in Toronto just friended one of the profs with whom I'm taking classes this semester for my doctorate in DC. Also, the Torontonian thesis advisor is actually going to be at my school in DC in less than a month on a discussion panel. Academia is a small world.

I'm working on my list of policies that I want to give to voice students (well... their parents, really
).Stuff along the lines of missed lessons, late arrival, parent involvement, etc.... we'll see what I come up with. |

My school has begun!
Yesterday, really. But I just finished the English test (pshaw!  ), and got to laugh at it, as expected. Made only one mistake really, with words sue and claim.But this place seems pretty perfect. The teachers got a sense of humor, and our teacher isn't too strict - we should have been here at 8:15, but he said "But, we won't be coming here that early, now, will we?"  So we had to be here at 9:30. And even though there will be early mornings, there are also full days off. Me like.

So last night, someone figured out how to send an email to the entire student body at my husband's and mine university. We got emails all night long about stupid things, or about silly things, or about people who didn't understand the "reply all" button and were requesting to be taken off this email list.
Someone who is turning into my hero sent a Rickroll link to every single student. I admire this person. But that's what is exciting in my world. Woo hoo!
