Well, I just made some Kool-Aid, so that's what made me think of it.

Sorry I never got around to the Crap post. Elyssa and the others aren't there, yet, are they? It'd be really nice if Carnehillion or Ingwionis or someone was a rope freak and never traveled without at least four long lengths. Everyone has their character quirks... you know.

As for Quickleaf being too conscious, Aerin could always just do something slightly wrong and he pass back out from the pain.. or someone could just hit him. It probably wouldn't take much now.

Also note: when Aerin's cleaning blood off someone's face, she's no wiper. She's a dabber.

Oh crap, with all the stuff going on over the past few days I haven't been here much. And Amy didn't post anything. So we were both in the caves before, now we're I don't know, and we'll have to catch up. Hopefully no one killed us off. Well, I'm off to find out!

Oh, oh! Can we tie a disc to the bottom of the rope, and pull them up like on those swings from trees? I'm trying to think of how we can do this without having to double the rope over. I've got the idea this cavern is HUGE. Like... so huge I'm surprised a rope is long enough to go all the way to the bottom. Like... Quickleaf was one HECK OF A LUCKY elf big.

And how are they going to double it up anyway?

Are we (Carnehillion, Ellysa, Ingwe and A'mael) close enough to the rescue party up top to render any assistance within a goodly amount of time? I was getting the picture that my group is only a hundred meters or so away from the entrance/exit of this place.

Now we are close. Just need to notice some lights or something.
I don't think I'll be back before tomorrow. See ya!

Well, Abasi is still outside guarding the entrance with Tabrîl, possibly listening to the chanting she's been keeping up. Or ignoring it.

As for the rest of this lot - Still inside.

Curufin:
BASICALLY.. since everyone but you two went in, the important things are:
-Radagast and Branwyn let loose a whole bunch of ghost-mice.
-Haldis ran into a lost elf and has been dragging her around (and the new elf twisted her ankle).
-Quickleaf fell into a hole and has apparently lost his sight temporarily.
-Everyone who isn't Haldis, Quickleaf, or the new elf is waiting at the hole, preparing to hoist the three up (I think Elyssa and Co. are about to show up).

The end. So far. You and Aika should post something. It might be nice to hear about what's going on outside that god-forsaken dungeon.

Kool-Aid Quickleaf is being rescued I guess the confusion of this all (nod to Curu) will be settled soon as we're doing a jump from the days in Dol Guldur.

Will give some recovery time for Quickleaf as well, so his sight may improve somewhat, though the blindness won't go away so quick.. I think.. I don't know, the whole fall into the pits was a spur of the moment author-invention Edit* I can't stand responsible for my own words in this RPG!

I've never meant to write myself out.. I happen to believe that a blindness does not need to be a disability that rules out taking part in the journey. Neither do I want him to be permanently blind. Damages to the eyes do happen, but they aren't always permanent or life-threathening! Kool Aid Quickleaf will be fine And maybe Nami will forgive him soon too.. (wishful thinking)

Say, slight suggestiong:

You could always use a sheild attached to a rope to make a sort of swing seat for Quickleaf to sit on, and then drag him up. After all, I'm sure some of us brought our sheilds down with us. That way, sitting in a sheild (a round sheild would work perfectly because its concave and would offer more support) he could also be tied around his waist to the pull line as people hoist him up. Gives more support and less damage than just stringing a rope around his chest.

Personally, I learned this technique with lashing two rifles together rather than a sheild, but it should work just fine. That and since we have a horse like thing, the warg, we could tie the rope around him and ask him to walk forward and pull him up, sparing the people from the duty, so they could be standing at the ready to give quickleaf adn the others a hand once they reach the edge of the hole.

Mind if I come along with the group and post something like that?

*shrug* sure, if one of us had brought a horse it would be a horse powered lift. Mounted Rescue training FTW!

So we're rescuing Quickleaf? Was Quickleaf close to the exit when he was hurt? I got the impression that we too were lost.

I'm sorry guys that I havenn't been here for a while. I've been ill here and there.

Sounds okay to me Sane.
Amael, I have no clue where we are exactly, but I figured that since Ellysa knew the way to where they got lost, they should have seen the footprints of the others. Or at least, the trackers among us should have. Or see the light if torches. Remember, everyone else was on their way back, or only just on their way in.

Are you feeling better now? *sends some get well soon-vibes towards Amael*

Thanks Mair. Ya, I'm okay, right now it's past noon and I'm still feeling the morning illness but it's something I can shake. It doesn't always apply to morning LOL. It's worst at around 6 to 8 AM and not too good in evening for that matter either. I've never felt actually really tired in my life before just a month ago, then I startted to get tired easily from mundane things. Walking 10 miles isn't a good idea, and I should have known better on that. I did it because Ingwe wanted to walk. He suggested I stay home but I didn't listen. Well, next time I'll listen.

So did any of the characters die since I was last here to post? Last time I really got to check around, the situattion was bleak. And now it seems Quickleaf is badly injured. I'm glad it sounds like he'll recover from that. Glass in the eyes really .... sucks. An eyelash or a small piece of dirt is bad enoughh!

I'm sure the group, at least the Elves, heard him scream so we're probably on our way there to investigate no doubt.

Depending how far he fell, how much rope do we got? I'm sure we can have something rigged up unless he's already out of danger.

No one died and except for Q and Aerin's minor injury everyone is doing just dandy
Midge's summary a few posts back is quite accurate
