I smiled. "Yes, we can still be best friends."

And then, though I tried to stop them, my eyes filled with silent tears. "I'm sorry, Faith and Star; I just realized I'm never going to see my-my old family again. And we," I gulped. "really do have our own tasks to do. Not like some of the others, I think. The other Writewraiths, the ones that don't belong here...I hope they get home."

I could sense, now, that Faith actually DID belong in Middle Earth. So, it seemed, did Starletta.

"I'm glad that we won't be alone. But all of us Writewraiths have to go home, whether that's here or the other world."

"Of course you're going to miss your parents, and you sibs, it going to hurt, a lot. It always will." Holds up the notebook and rolls her eyes a little "Ask the book. And even though, eventually, you might be able to go a whole day without thinking of them, it'll always hurt. And your going to have things to do here for sure! And Starletta to probably!" I knew at the time, that I wold never go back home...not really, but I refused to accept it. I refused to accept a lot of things back then...still do. I started humming, a song from a play I had been working on before we left, "South Pacific" and a thought came to me. "O my gosh! I have to get back before the performance! It's next week!"

"Lubyla called us." I slapped my hand over my big fat mouth, before I told any more than I was supposed to. We all headed back, but I stayed behind. There was something in the bushes. I slowly bent down and picked up a rock, which fit my hand perfectly. I walked into the bushes, rock in hand, and bent down, to see a black warg there, the same one that had pushed Dave and I into the hole. He had a big gash on his head, and had passed out. I tore off a bit of my dress, and tore that in two. One I used to mop up the blood, the other I set aside. Looking around I found a weed, and brused a leaf, holding it under the warg's nose. It worked as a smelling salt, and he jumped up surprised, snarling at me."Hush," I told him, "I'm going to help you." He lay down and set his head on my lap as though he understood. The rest of the weed I placed on the gash, and he winced, snarling a little, then I took the other half of the piece I tore off, and used it as a bandage. "There. It'l come off on it's own when it's ready I suppose." I sat back and looked at him. I could tell he was young, but he looked so beat up. His left hind leg was gone, and a bite was taken out of his right ear. His black fur was matted and bloody. "I wish I could do more to help you." He looked up at me, with those eyes, and they seemed to see'Me too.'
I got up, and walked back out, running to catch up with the rest.

I shuddered. I had just remembered...Them. <Speak.> But I pulled out my bow, ready to shoot the warg if he tried to harm Terwell.

Alasse walked back to find her daughter, and noticed that she and Terwell were busy trying to speak to a warg. Alasse smiled. Now, that was more like the Calien she had known! Then she noticed a young, confused woman sitting alone in the grass. "Hello. I am Alasse. Who are you?"

I am Starletta...I think, though you may call me Star, as does everyone else. I believe I have seen you before. Have you been in Rohan recently?

"Rohan..." Alasse laughed, remembering. "Yes, Rohan, and, some say, nearly every place on Middle Earth! Are you from Rohan, then?"

Yes, I am a trainer of the horses.I only own three myself, but they are very good horses. I come from a very well known family for our horses.Why, my mother even trained...well, tried to train Lubyla's horse, Ithilsila.

Alasse laughed. She knew Lubyla, and had seen Ithilsila. "That she even tried shows her to be one of the best horsewomen in Rohan!"

It seemed Ithilsila could not be trained, but took a great liking to Lubyla, though I don't know why. Lubyla doesn't like me very much.

"There are many fine people that Lubyla dislikes, and I do not often know her reasons." There was one group of people that Lubyla always disliked, but surely that had nothing to do with Starletta.

Tis true. She does get tempermental, ad judges a bit too quickly. Though I never did anything to her, exept...well, hum...did I?

She was in Rohan, doing whatever she does there, problebly getting Ithilsila's food, for she only buys it from my family, and I was told to get it, I came back, accidently picking up the wrong one, and she yelled at me.

I was still with him. I did not know what was going on, but I knew an arrow was being pulled on him. "Relax! He's not going to hurt any one."

I relaxed a little, putting the bow at my side, but remained ready to kill the warg if he attacked Terwell.

"Why did you attack?" asked Terwell in the warg tongue, which he had learned from Cyrell. <I know you can understand me now.>
